correct. I thought I made it pretty clear that I was impressed with the concept, but I just personally couldn't get into it -- mainly because if I'm in a Shmup mood, I'm not in an RPG mood. And vice versa.

Just bought Operation-MouseTrap-Simon cart for 4 bucks at Gamestop.

I noticed the DS version doesn't come with Simon. Glad I have the GBA.

For anyone looking for a cheap copy of this game, Gamestop carries it for $3.99 if you can find it in a local store ($3.59 after Edge card).

I really enjoyed reading about those Nintendo Powers. I never knew they existed, but its a shame they only made so few of them.

One of my favorite posts yet, NR. Whoa! I didn't know about these guides. I've been hesitant to add peripheral "collectibles" to my GB collection, focusing instead just on cart after cart. But these guides - especially if there are just the 4 - might be an exception to the rule. And you are so right that it seems a mere one year's run is far too brief for a system that thrived for 3 if not 4 if not 5 years more. On the flip side, just look at the titles covered in this opening salvo of marketing (and maybe that's the explanation- this was all hype to sell GBAs, and once the system was fully aloft, the hype was less necessary), and you have to admire the strength of the GBA's early line up.

Since there are so many ports of SNES games for the GBA, you should do a post comparing some of the more popular ports to their original SNES versions.
