I've held off posting to this thread. I won't make any claims about "best albums" of the decade, but I'll post a couple of my favorites that came out in the 00's. I don't really listen to a lot of modern music, though.

Submitted for your derision:

Dream Theater: Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory (This one actually came out in October 1999, but that's too late to pop up on many people's radars for the decade) If you're sticking strictly to a 2000-2009 span, then I'd replace this with Octavarium, though I hear their latest album is probably better.

Megadeth: United Abominations (Their best work since Rust in Peace, imo)

Dragonforce: Inhuman Rampage
Systems: TI-99/4a, Commodore Vic-20, Atari 2600, NES, SMS, GB, Neo Geo MVS (Big Red 4-slot), Genesis, SNES, 3DO, PS1, N64, DC, PS2, GBA, GCN, NDSi, Wii

Also, the Collector's Version of the soundtrack to Reefer Madness: The Musical. It's a two-disc set that included both the soundtrack to the made-for-TV adaptation of the stage musical (it's the only way to get the OST for the film) and the OOP Original LA Cast Recording.

Both have actor Christian Campbell, the more talented brother of Neve Campbell (who was featured in the film), as well as John "The Cryptkeeper" Kassir (in both), Robert Torti (in both, but while he played Jesus and Jack in the stage musical, he only played Jesus in the film), and exclusive to the film version: Alan Cumming (Goldeneye, X2: X-Men United, Rick and Steve: The Happiest Gay Couple in the World), Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars, Pulse), Ana Gasteyer (of SNL fame, and later played Elphaba in the Chicago production of Wicked), and Steven Weber (Dawn of the Dead).
