Its been a very long time, but I've recently added some significant new additions to the room that I felt warrented updated pics! Its still a work in progress and most of my money goes into other areas of the house before it gets to the game room, but I've still got lots of plans to spice it up.

Let me know what you guys think so far:

Boxes are either sale/trade items or stuff that needs cleaning (sticker removal/contacts cleaned/etc)

Lovely new couch is a big upgrade from my old futon. And was free!

You know you have too many Gamecubes when you use them as bookends, on that note, did you get rid of one?

Also, I don't suppose you know where to get the entertainment center/console rack that you're using?

The room looks great, wish I had the time/cash/know-how/empty room to do this.

Looks like you have the best part of a virtual boy collection there, now you just need the filler.

Also, Virtual Tennis... I love that game. It's so unassuming, seems like just a whatever simple tennis game, but it's so addictive. Do you have any other naomi games?

Great room man, you living the dream :)

Thanks for making me your first post!! Hope to hear more from you on the forums.

Nah, there are still 4 gamecubes. Black on on the top right shelf with the Gameboy Player Disc on top, Purple on as a bookend holding Xbox games at bay, another Purple one as a bookend by my empty N64 boxes seperating a few items and the Platinum that I actually use to play games on.

I dont know where the entertainment center is from. I briefly lived with a guy like 7 years ago for a couple months and he owned them. I thought there were perfect for what I was looking for so I offered to buy them from him when I moved out. Sorry I cant be more help with that.

Time/Cash/Know-how were all things I was lacking too (still lacking the cash). Just break up your time and do it in chuncks (There is still a ton of stuff I have planned for the room, but since its at least functional I'm happy for the time being), be thrifty and make cuts in other places or look for deals/freebies. Know-how was the easy one. Either do the research or network and find someone close to you that is willing to help out with their expertise.

Still missing a few good VB games like Teleroboxer and Vertical Force. I'm more focussed on NES right now, but when I get that finished up I'll push the VB and complete that set too.

Virtua Tennis is surprisingly fun. I'll still keep the board for it around to play if the mood stikes, but I really want to convert it into a fighting or shmup style game.

Other than the lack of Light Gun compatibility I actually dont mind playing older generations of system on HDTVs. I'd much rather have a large HDTV in my game room than the medium CRT. If I only have the money.

Nice room - really dig the red base boards. I'd suggest a dimmer switch if you don't have one and getting at least 2.0 sound if your TV has jacks in the back (or a head phone jack) or a cheap receiver. Basic stereo speakers (with good separation) make a world of difference.

It was awesome reading through this thread to see your game room evolve over the last two years or so.
Awesome game room man, I'm loving everything about it. Especially the dark paint.

That's a pretty big Wii collection. Didn't think it had that many worthwhile games
