You people in here are some serious retro gamers? I am just wondering if you divide your time equally among your systems or you tend to favor some and neglect the rest. I play mostly on my PS2 and once or twice a week, I dabble in one of the other system cuz I have too many systems and so little time.

I started a page for my collection. I'm more into collecting hardware and not boxed games/carts. All my consoles are played and not just out for display. I'm not a fan of emulation and love how it feels to hold the actual controller in my hands to play a 15 year old game. But it could just be me....

Re: What Consoles Do You Currently Own?
Ok, I discovered the 'Search' function finally! I can't take any pictures of what I own (since it is all in boxes (no space for it at the moment)), so I guess this'll do. I am not actually home (I kind of live away from home) so I will have to go off the top of my head here.
Back in.. 1991 or so (I would've been about 5), my brother and I put our collective pocket money savings together to buy a Commodore 64. It cost $100 second hand from a police officer and came with a tonne of 'backed up' game titles. I think the game I put the most hours in to out of that would have to be Super Mario Bros. (Giana Sisters SMB release). It came with a disk drive and a datasette, but apparently mum threw out the tape games.
Recently I've bought some more Commodore 64 stuff. I picked up two boxed datasettes, and lots of games from some forums for just the cost of postage. I also found another C64 base unit on the side of the street with another disk drive. Unfortunately it didn't have the power cable for the second disk drive, because I've been wanting one for a while so I can use two disk drives in GEOS (it is pretty much required :\).
But that's getting in to too much detail, so I will just dump down a list of everything.
NINTENDO
Nintendo Entertainment System
I bought this cheap at the market for a dollar. It had no power cables and is missing the cartridge door, but on the same day I picked up a controller for $3 and Super Mario Bros for $2. I just use the cables from my SNES to run it, and now have quite a few more games for it.
Super Nintendo Entertainment System
Bought with my Christmas money (I wish I got that kind of money for Christmas still! I got nothing last Christmas *hint hint friends!*) and I would always take it to my friends house. I only owned Donkey Kong Country 2 for it, and would hire any other games I wanted to play from the video store.
Nintendo 64
This one dad bought for himself. I missed out on going to the local show with him and my brother (carnival, whatever it is) and they had come home with a 64. I have no idea why! We had played one a little while earlier at one of my dad's relatives 21st birthday parties (Warm-up time, follow that dolphin!). But that was a good one, many hours of Mario Kart which is the only game dad will still play. I should mention that the only track he will ever play is Moo Moo Farm. I have a few others now because I wanted to get some of the different colours. I have Jungle Green and Ice Blue which are pretty nifty colours.
GameCube
I always wanted one of these. Before they came out I bought a heap of magazines to see what I would get. I even saved up enough money to buy one! I ended up using the money to buy some new bedding instead. But I bought one a little while ago now, and due to a recent desire to have a Mario Kart: Double Dash! LAN I have about 5 consoles now. Only have two GCN BBAs, so if anyone wants to donate one feel free
Wii
I have no idea what compelled me to buy a Wii, but I did. It was probably the promise of 1:1 motion control (which is still struggling to be realised with the release of the Wii MotionPlus), or.. perhaps I was drunk. Really, there are no good games apart from titles that could've been released on the GameCube on this thing.
Game Boy
I never had a Game Boy and don't recall the desire to ever do so. But now that I have one I think it is the bees knees. I spend a lot of time travelling to and from school using public transport and it really does kill the time. I use all my different re-iterations so I will just leave it at this. I have two plain ones and a clear one. One of the plain ones came near new in the box so I prefer to keep the second one and use that instead.
Game Boy Pocket
Game Boy Color
Trying to get a few colours here because it will look good in a display. So far I have Grape, Kiwi and the Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! version which is a pretty ugly one.
Game Boy Advance
Got four of these for GCN-GBA titles. I tried Four Swords with a friend but we got stuck and couldn't continue on. One day I will have to give it a go again.
Game Boy Advance SP
Pikachu edition! So cute
Game Boy Micro
These were getting cheap by the end of their life-cycle so I bought a couple at the shops. Got a black one and a blue one. I ended up accidentally buying a store display model also which isn't able to be used, it just has weights inside it. I picked up the cool Famicom Japanese model also, because it looked quite spiffy.
Nintendo DS Lite
When I picked this one up from the shop I was so excited I wasn't paying much attention to what was going on around me, and ended up crashing in to someone elses car. So all my hard earned money from working weeks beforehand went to insurance, and I ended up not being able to buy any games for the damned thing. I had plans for the money, plaaaaans!! I had two games for this but lost one, so now I have a single game which I never play because the touch pad is off. Damned poor hardware in the console! At least Nintendo repaired the cracked hinge for free.
SEGA
Master System
Took a while to get this one because they are hard to find at the market and seem to cost more than I am willing to pay on the Internet. My friend who owned a video game store got a heap of Sega consoles in and sold me this one for a much more reasonable price.
Master System II
No real story at all, I don't even know how I ended up with the few I have.
Mega Drive
Mega Drive II w/ Mega CD
Nanna had a Mega Drive when I was growing up, and we would always play Altered Beast or Duck Tales. Pretty good games. I don't know if she still has it, but I bought this one at the market. They seem to be pretty common these days.
Saturn
I only ever wanted one of these for Daytona USA, and now that I have one I am pretty disappointed. If they could've kept the music from the original Daytona USA in the release of Daytona USA Champion Circuit Edition (or whatever it's name is) then it would've been my favourite racing game. DAY-EE-ONAAA, let's go aray!
Dreamcast
Only ever played Crazy Taxi (at a little store display) when these were out. What's with the Visual Memory Unit? What a foreign concept! Too bad it came out when other systems were still in full swing.
GameGear
These things are horrible. How are you supposed to play games on such a poor display? And what's with the capacitor problems? This must be the console with the shortest life. Sonic is impossible to play on it unless you crawl along at a snails pace :\
SONY
PlayStation
No story, bought one because they are cheap now and it filled a gap in my collection. If only I had a model with RCA outputs, I could listen to all my music CDs in audiophile heaven. *rolleyes*
PlayStation 2
This one is my brothers, and he isn't getting it back. I have no idea why he buys this stuff, because he never uses it (stop looking at me like that!). He also had some really bad games for it. I've pretty much only bought God of War for it, but it was needed. Has the net adapter, but.. I don't seem to be able to get online. Also has a 120GB HDD but I don't have the HDLOADER disc! Ugh.
Microsoft
Xbox
This one was too hard to pass up. It is the limited edition blue Halo version which wasn't even released here, but it is an Australian console (the seller won it in a Microsoft competition). So I am guessing it is kind of rare.
Xbox 360
Another good forum buy (well it was until it gave me an E74 a week ago). $40 for a dead Core console with all the cables. I was given a 250GB WD BEVS drive for free and used hdhackr to convert it to a 120GB 360 drive, and then soldered a SATA connector to the motherboard. Works like a charm... worked like a charm! Need a new one of these. I have too many games now to give up on the silly system.
The rest of the systems don't really come under manufacturer lists, so they just go where-ever. At least, at the moment I can't recall any other manufacturers (give me a minute of writing and I might find some more).
Nokia N-Gage
This is my daily phone. Only problem is side-talking, and that it is quite cumbersome when I actually take a phone with me somewhere.
Nintendo Donkey Kong Game & Watch
When I was really really young and these things were not a real big collectors item yet, somewhere back in the very very very early 90s, I picked this up at a garage sale for $5. Obviously I had taste, because it has turned out to be a good investment.
Philips CD-i
Never used this, because it's a US system :\ That's the only thing stopping me from playing The Wand of Gamelon (am I being saved?)
Sheen
Pong clone with no real identifying marks for model numbers, etc.
Sheen M-1200
Soundic TV-14
This one is another of dads. He got this one back when it was new, and I still have the heat-faded box it came in. I don't know much of it's history, apart from it now being in my possession. I did blow a fuse in it, and the dude couldn't fix it. So I dunno if it works anymore :\ The repairman lost one of the screws from the base so I was pretty annoyed with that.
Tandy Computerized Arcade
This is probably the best looking thing I own. It beeps and flashes colourful lights. It would suit any retro themed house.
ATARI
Another one I forgot about!
2600
It is in pieces. I hate the 2600, the games are ugly. I can't believe people played these games instead of going outside to climb trees and stomp on frogs.
XE Gaming System
This one is a bit better. I got a tonne of games for it for cheap, but I don't really play them. The light gun on this is probably the worst on any console I've ever used. You can probably aim behind you and hit just as accurately.
Goldstar 3D0
I don't think I'd ever heard of this before I saw it at the market. I had heard of 3D0 as a game developer, but not as a maker of consoles. It was cheap so I picked it up. I only have two games for it so I don't actually know if it is a good system. I saw Jurassic Park at the video game store but thought it would be crap, and now that I've read about it being OK I am kicking myself for not picking it up. Hopefully one day I can find a few more games for it.
SNK Neo Geo AES
I've wanted this since I started properly collecting! I always wanted to get a cheap one at the market because I picked up three AES titles at the market for $10 (King of Fighters '99, Fatal Fury 2, Fatal Fury Special), but I had to settle on second hand store price. My girlfriend pretty much bought it for me for my birthday
*hugs* I love the AES but can't find anyone to play against.
IntelliVision
Has the IntelliVoice but I don't have any games that utilise it.
Ok I said I was just going to list them, but it didn't feel right. I think it is all of them, but it's hard to tell when I can't see them in front of me. I hope I kept this under the 60,000 character limit.

Let's see...
NES
SNES
N64
GCN
GB Pocket
NDS
Genesis 2
Saturn
Dreamcast
Game Gear
PS1
PS2
PS3
Xbox
I play my PS3 daily. After that, my Saturn gets the most use, then the Dreamcast, then the PS2. Now that I've got my GameBoy Player Disc, my Gamecube may soon be getting some more play.
The stuff I wish I owned includes a Neo Geo Pocket Color, Neo Geo CD, Sega CD and 3DO.

PS2.Xbox,N64 and GBA SP
Re: What Consoles Do You Currently Own?
2600 clone (coleco gemini)
nes clone (yobo w/ adapter)
genesis
saturn
dreamcast
psone
360
360 is a glorified arcade/netflix player
dreamcast gets a lot of my love, so does the saturn. The rest have been neglected somewhat except when I need my sonic fix (ie: genesis)
psone I keep around for rpg's mostly. When I have time for them.
I was considering slimming down some to get some new titles for saturn/dreamcast (or just dreamcast) but I don't think I could find a buyer for any of my stuff anyway. SooOooOo keeping it.

Re: What Consoles Do You Currently Own?
Why would you call Dreamcast a "glorified" arcade and then mention your love for Dreamcast? Dreamcast was an arcade dream! Dreamarcade wasn't as catchy though.
