Better than the opening scene in TDKR?

Better than the Mad Dog fight in Raid?

Better than anything in Expendables 2?

Better than the action sequences in Marvel's THE AVENGERS?

Better than the action scenes in Premium Rush?

Better than The Amazing Spider-Man?

Six movies, all released this year. Not spanning a decade, this year. And you actually think any sequence in any RE movie even comes close to this? Craziness.

Last decade at least. Also, The Amazing Spider-Man? Really? I liked the movie but the action stuff was very average (Not to mention, for a film that announces proudly that it was shot in 3D... it looked flatter than a pancake and the fake looking CGI did nothing to alleviate that. The emotional part of the movie is definetely the highlight).

Thank you for making my point for me. Well, RE doesn't have any highlights, so you got me there.

Dude, it's fine if you like the series but the movies are anything but well made. And boy are they dumb. Really, really dumb.

I know they are absolutely retarded but at least they know they are stupid. Unlike a Michael Bay movie :x .

Can't argue with that one bit. Don't remember any pot brownies sold at a school function, or dog mischief in any RE movies. However the camera may try to dry hump Jovovich a few times, a Bay staple.

Red State

Not a commendable film, but at least we got to see John Goodman  Kevin Smith is a smug character and quite full of himself, but I decided to give this a go anyway.. Image

His screenplays were so much more coherent and in demand when he wasn't smoking pot and eating baconators everyday. He's gracious to his fans, but does have a "fuck you I'm rich enough to do what I want to do" attitude and doesn't like his opinion questioned. Which is pretty common in Hollywood (think Dave Chapelle).

Watched MB's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and TTCM The Beginning a few days ago.

Must say I enjoyed them, in a not so retarded way.

Liked the second one (prequel) even better. Much to my surprise...

I don't have a problem with those remakes to be honest (R. Lee Ermey is terrifying and the prequel is absolutely brutal.) or with the battle sequences of Transformers 3 (It's a shame that you have to tolerate 90-120 minutes of shitty dialogue and jokes to see them. It's also one of the best looking 3D films I've ever seen.). I'm also interested on Texas Chainsaw 3D.

BTW: Bay produced them but he didn't direct them. Marcus Nispel (He also did the awesome Friday The 13th. remake) and Johnatan Liebesman directed them.

I hated the TCM remake, though it was shot quite beautifully. That bullet through the head through the windshield shot is so Argento. It was impressive.

The prequel was actually really really good though. I thought much better than the remake proper. Though really, I think the whole TCM series is pretty bad considering how amazing the original movie is. Then again I think that Hooper is a pretty bad director considering how amazing the original TCM is. Haha.
