Pink Bullets is way, way better though. If you like the original but wish it had more visibility and balance, and a multi-layer scoring system, definitely check it out! Not everyone's cup of tea, but Pink Bullets managed to squeeze its way into my top 25 vote!
I still need to try Gunlord.

I believe that based on the probability that most things are better than the original Last Hope.

I got some good 'Casting in over the weekend. Quake III online Friday night and PSO online Saturday night. And played 3 games in my season of NFL 2K on Sunday.

How far are you in PSO now? Seems like you've been visiting that one pretty regularly.
I'm not even really familiar with the original, so not sure if the difficulty modes and such are the same.

y'know I'd probably be a lot further if I didn't keep restarting. Last year I had a character up to LVL18 or so that I was playing Offline Mode. Sadly, I lost that one to corrupt save. So then I had started a new character in Ver1. I didn't use that one too long, maybe up to LVL6 or so. Then couldn't find the VMU. So when we did PSO for TR I decided to just play it on PC since more folks were likely to get it running online that way. Got that character up to LVL19 or something like that, but then got back into the DC version so now this new character is around LVL13 I think. Exhausting!

Ive got Gunlord and would have to say it's quite enjoyable. The levels are long with lots of exploration, it's quite hard as well which suits me fine. It does feel like Turrican 2 on the Amiga, minus the awesome music, which, is not to say Gunlords music isn't any good because it is, just not up to Turrican 2's lofty standard.

back into the arms of the temptress, PSO. After playing online with some dudes on Saturday night, they suggested also trying to meet up on Monday nights. I figured if I could make it I would. I started playing Offline for a while to grind while waiting for them, and realized that my Offline save was right at the end of The Forest - I had already completed all the quests. So I figured, what the heck, and ran thru and killed the dragon solo. At this point I was at LVL12. Then hopped on and did some time in the Caves with those guys, and got myself up to LVL15. Just such an easy way for me to lose time whenever I start playing this game.

got a chance to play some games tonight. Played a game of NFL 2K. The Bills gave me a run for my money. They're D is tenacious. I won 20-7, but it was much closer than it sounds. I've been doing this thing where I've been playing the games letting "the coach" call the plays to see how well I can do by sticking to them. Often, they're not the plays I want to make which makes it a little tougher for me.
Then fired up PSO. Trying to work on my solo game a bit when I can. LVL17 now. In The Caves. I forgot how long that stupid cake quest is. Luckily, the cake is not a lie. But it takes forever to find it.
