Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

YA I still need to read the book. Im a fan of hunter. As for the movie I heard that depp wanted to do it a long time ago of course being 15 years or so later they were gonna get another actor but being as they were such good friend he wanted to do the movie.

Also no one can play hst like johnny depp can!

Start with Hell's Angels if you haven't already; it's HST at his most abrasive.

Tom Waits could have been a better HST. Joaquin Phoenix could pull it off as well.

Not sure how to make a Hell's Angel's movie though. A terrifying story with few stand out characters. And the violence...ouch. Maybe give Tarantino the rights and the lefts.

Sound's interesting I'll half to give it a read. Hst + Tarantino= Wow Im sold

Tom waits huh? Interesting although I have never seen him act only listened to his music. Very acquired taste. Joaquin Phoenix I could see that for sure.

You all obviously haven't seen Hunter S. Thompson portrayed by Bill Murray.

If you don't want to know almost everything about KICK ASS 2, turn off your computer.

Do you have the criterion release of Fear & Loathing? Thompsons audio commentary is out there. I put it on for a bit before the random noises he made became too much.

Wish I did. I have a director's cut with commentary, but it could be the same commentary you have. It's mostly: "herz a scene..Depp is depp is depp is good here kinda..snort...this happened. You don't know what the..cough.. hic..the fuck?...so depp..lemme tell you about depp".

Already? Gahh. I haven't even grabbed the comics yet. I'm getting tired of nerdy stuff becoming the norm in pop culture. It takes away my individuality.

It's the best DVD/Blu Ray of the film out there
