I said you are a poor and inane arguer, not that you are an asshole or a stupid person or anything of the sort. My complaint is/was with the repeatedly poor quality of your engagement on most issues where you want to state a strong opinion, not with your personal character or overall intelligence.

Arguing with you is fairly futile because you don't usually make claims that you support well nor do you address criticism of those claims in a way that shows an appreciation and understanding of the people who are trying to engage with you (or the way in which they have presented their position). Instead, you assign personal motives to those claims and almost always disregard any good evidence they provide. That doesn't automatically make you a bad person, it just means that your posts often function as kryptonite in those threads where you decide you want to dig in your heels on a particular stance. That's why I suggested folks just stop trying when it becomes clear you are becoming stubborn and unreasonable.

So call me and other folks names all you want. Or leave if that's your thing. But you'll find that the same irritation I've expressed above will follow you into other contexts (virtual and physical) until you learn to both respect and make good arguments.

Dammit, Dave, why do you always have to cut right to the heart of the issue? ; )

Here is another "Quote of the Day" article, like linked to a couple pages back, from Robot 6 published today:
Quote of the Day | ‘We publish comics for 45-year-olds’

“I had this great pitch … and he said, ‘You think this is gonna be for kids? Stop, stop. We don’t publish comics for kids. We publish comics for 45-year-olds. If you want to do comics for kids, you can do Scooby-Doo...’”

– Paul Pope, relating his attempt to pitch an all-ages (or perhaps young-adult) title to DC Comics

What is a decent price for Frank Miller's limited series Wolverine #1 in mint condition?

Not big on comics, I have a few I picked up that were #1 issues just to see if they would increase in price and a rare comic that was given to me by my 2nd cousin a long time ago.

Marvel Comics X Men Anniversary Issue 71: Excalibur; Fatal Attractions Finale; A comrade's returns | A friendship Lost! <-- Has a foil card on the front of it.. its in mint condition.

Dark Horse Comics #1 GIJoe

DC 1995 Annual #1 Year One Sovereign Seven

Ultimate Creations Presents Warrior 1 May: Warrior - Callahan - Smith: WARRIOR

And a couple Roujin books I got from anime conventions.

This isn't a review or anything, but I wanted to toss this up here:

My local shop informed me that they can order Halloween mini comics for $3 a bundle.
The choices were Adventure Time, My Little Pony, Batman Lil Gotham, Ultimate Spider-Man, Super Dinosaur, Hellboy, and a couple others. Each bundle comes with about 12-20 copies so you can hand them out for Halloween.

I thought it was pretty neat, I ordered a few and thought I'd give people a heads up to go talk to their local comic book guy to see if they can order them some if they're interested. It looks like they need to be ordered now to be here by the end of October.

And I am not a seller, so I didn't chime in.
