Never really got into As I Lay Dying.
Anybody here listen to Moonsorrow? I've been listening to their albums recently.

I love As I Lay Dying. Great band. Check out this song:
As I Lay Dying - "Darkest Nights"
As for his criminal career, that's his problem.

Ah I remember now listening to Beneath the Encasing of Ashes back in '01...... It was mediocre. I vastly preferred stuff like Poison the Well and From Autumn to Ashes.

I never heard that album but I used to listen to some of "Frail Words Collapse" back in my college days right about the time I was transitioning from listening to nu metal to listening to metalcore. It was ok but I never liked it as much as stuff from Norma Jean.
I also remember FATA......I really tried to like them too, especially that first album, but I never could. Anything they did after that first album I never really liked except for maybe a couple of songs but that's it. Poison the Well I was a fan of, though. I Had the You Come Before You album and listened to it quite a bit. I wish I had it still though (I have no idea where it went).
As for the arrest......I'm shocked too. But we'll have to wait and see what happens.

I'd be surprised about Tim, but he's a metal musician. Plus, no matter how good you may come off, or how much positivity you try to put into the world, issues of love are always the darkest and most questionable. (Did I mention I'm in an absolutely and totally pissed state about everything relationship related right now?)
On AILD's music, its decent. I have one CD, and I spin on occasion, but they don't do that much for me. Metalcore isn't my genre. I do have some friends that really dig them though.

black metal isn't my thing so i knew nothing about dude. i kinda knew the norwegian scene are extremist about their views and stuff. after wiki'ing him and mayhem, holy shit, what a bunch of fucked up motherfuckers. them boys got issues. but, at the same time the whole history of the group kinda fascinated me. you couldn't make that shit up.aaron wrote:i seriously hate that dude. what a fucking dickbag.BoneSnapDeez wrote:So apparently Burzum is done playing metal.

Any of you guys seen these?

I like them, as they are mostly accurate. Satirical, and a teensy bit offensive, but funny and accurate nonetheless. I think there are probably some stereotypes missing, but it was covered decently well.
Best one though, on the black metaller: "Somehow both a satanist and Odinist at the same time."

FIXED LINK.
