Hair dilemma...
I tend to use hair spray everyday (don't like the gel look/feel) and shampoo everyday too. I'm sick of it though and my hair is always really staticy after a shower, sticks up in the back a lot, it's just a mess. Pretty sure it should be thick though. Just always seems super frizzy though, if that's the word... no idea.
Uh... so anything I can do? Looking into it it sounds like I just need to stop washing it with shampoo daily and break that up a bit. Will that hopefully help? I always use a all in one shampoo/conditioner, if that means anything either. Sounds like I should just stop using shampoo and lot and maybe use more pure conditioner.
lol?

I use half/half to, but I have oily hair so it's never dry. Sounds like you need to stop using hair spray. If that's not the problem, use more conditioner.

Don't do this.
Other than shampoo and conditioner, I haven't put product of any kind in my hair since like middle school. I am about 1000x happier for it.

I know its a couple of days old but:
You kinda do. I was pony boy for about 2 years in high school, though it was frequently shortened to just pony.
Granted, in my case it had nothing to do with the song or the character, but the name stuck just the same.

Guess it's time to quit the hair spray habit. lol
Hopefully my hair has a speedy recovery.

@CFFJR
Culd never call you just Pony, Pony Boy.
Don't use cheap shampoo and make sure you rinse your hair out thoroughly. If you don't get the poo out, it'll leave residue that can damage your scalp (someone will laugh at that). Don't over wash your hair either. On Saturdays I only rinse and use a leave in conditioner.
If you want to style your hair while keeping it healthy, try Sumotech by Bumble and Bumble. Your hair will feel like normal hair, but a bit more pliable, and a little bit goes a long way.
So I'm self conscious, wannafideaboudit?

Obviously I am a bit too since I brought this up.
I basically just want it to be a bit thicker/harder again so it'll just stay down. Might grow it out a little again this winter, I just don't wanna bother putting anything in it anymore.
Is hair spray worse than gel? I just always hated the wet gel look and hair spray seemed to last. But yeah don't want either anymore, lol.
I use Suave's Men 2:1. I think I remember I had dandruff issues in jr. high but haven't had that issue in years. All I remember is that the Head & Shoulders brand totally sucked, lol.

While on the subject of hair, I saw this news article earlier:
Baldness cure could be on shelves in two years
If it happens, that'll be awesome. It would be nice to not always have to wear a baseball cap in the summer to protect the top of your head.

Yeah, as long as it doesn't make you grow tits and lose your erection...

Ditch that suave shampoo. You don't have to go overboard, but stop using cheap shampoo that can double as a body wash. That mess will thin out, dry, and damage your hair in weeks. If you do want to use it, wash your hair around three time a week.
Check out the Bumble and Bumble products. They make a world of difference and although they seem pricey (well, they are pricey) they last for months.
