I practiced just this game for about an hour per day for 3 months so it's not like this came out of nowhere.
And please don't put my score in the rankings.
Nah, your good man. Just a bit of ego-crash / reality-check for some of us

Hopefully you stick around to explore other parts of the site - this is a really great retro community.

212,600 - Rob - 1-3 - MAME

Best I could do after a few runs. First time really playing this game and trying to not suck. I credit fed through it once maybe 1/2 a year or more ago. I still suck, haha.

Yea, definitely a tough one. Keep at it! It's pretty addictive.

I should probably hook it up to my TV instead of playing on a 15" laptop screen. Considering it is a vert, that leaves a pretty small screen. And my arcade stick is 2 - 3x the size of my laptop. That looks a bit goofy as well.

That dude with the champion score rocks -- he's a Rob fan.

Looks like Hashiriya and ourselves will have a force to be reckoned with in the coming months.

Finally, Psikyo-Ball is the coolest freaking player name ever.

I'm still just trying to break 300K.

Guess I'll give it another go after before work.
**Edit**
Started up the game and this was my first run. Seemed easier and I'm not sure why. Maybe I just needed a break.

1.5m with Quaid, got to 2-2. I could get much much further if I stopped dying on the final boss second form and didn't try Loop 2 techs.

As far as I know two westerners have 2-ALLed DB - stuminator and BER from the French forum shmupemall. Right now azinth, saucykobold and I are trying to race to a 2-ALL but I don't know if I'll ever manage that.

ZengarZombolt was another really good player who used Rob (he also no-deathed Dangun Feveron :V) but I don't know what happened to him.

One tip for you guys: I find personally that playing in TATE makes the game much more frustrating. When I do scoring attempts I always do yoko on my 18" screen. I dunno why that helps.

I can't imagine how mean this loop is.

I can see why playing in Yoko might help some people, as it is most likely a smaller area to look at, so maybe it is easier to focus on the entire screen?

I am so used to TATE that i usually do terrible in yoko, although thats what I am playing DB in, since its on my laptop. However, when it comes to Futari or something, I do much better in TATE (on a 20in screen, so, small enough to view all of)
