Very unique series, I'm going to be curious to see what else this studio has done, as I've heard most of it is pretty surreal like Serial Experiments Lain. I plan on watching the first episode again after I finish the series to see if I can make sense of it, it made pretty much no sense and was just a string of bizarre imagery.
Texhnolyze is animated by Madhouse. They are well known for a pretty wide body of work. Satoshi Kon films. Nana. Trigun. Girl Who Leapt Through Time. Summer Wars. A lot of CLAMP works. The Tatami Galaxy. Kaiji. Black Lagoon. Etc.
You may be looking for works from the same creators? Haibane Renmei. Serial Experiments Lain. NieA 7. And Despera is on hold forever.
And other stuff with different character designs from some of the same creators. Ghost Hound. RahXephon. Hellsing. Shigurui.
Anything from Kon is awesome and big stand outs for me are Monster and Kaiji. In general though, Madhouse are straight up one of the best and typically tackle serious/mature drama a lot more than other studios. The new Rainbow series was damn good stuff too. That one is from the new HxH director bruno, you'd probably like it for sure and those others I just mentioned. Madhouse also did Death Note, which I think is hilarious in how over the top it is and I never like comparing it to Monster (unlike others used too), but I still loved the show, it was addicting as hell.
The founders and key staff of Madhouse go a long ways back. Rintaro has done plenty of fantastic movies such as GE999, Metropolis, etc. He directed the original Harlock series as well which is a big standout for me.

Then of course there's Kawajiri, just straight up one of my favorites for sure. Cyber City Oedo, Goku Midnight Eye, "The Running Man" (in Neo Tokyo), Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust, and yeah I just love anything by him. He did a lot of dirty/gory OVA's too I need to hit up, I assume I'll enjoy them a bit. His style is amazing.

Madhouse own. It's interesting but they mostly did OVA's back in the 80/90's and they must be growing a lot nowadays as they're doing a lot more bigger shows.
Oh yeah an obvious one for me, I'm watching Hajime no Ippo... yet another hit from them for me so far, incredible stuff and the animation is just too good.
I think a lot of Texhnolyze's awesomeness has to do with the actual director too though.

I completely love this guys style. Check out Shigurui, I wasn't too big on it but the directing was still just so awesome and gruesome. He also did Steins;Gate recently which I'd have a hard time seeing you enjoy, as it's a lot more laid back... but visually/artistically I still saw his style shrine through in that one for sure. I'd love for him to do more dark sci-fi like Texhnolzye though, it was so crazy.
