A little on the easy side but i'm enjoying it. i think i'm almost done with the guy characters story. You get 2 choices to play. the guy is more of an action game, the girl is more puzzle oriented, but it's tag along on a few parts WITH friendly fire. Shit ton of fetching as well. I think i was on the last section of the game when i accidently shot the girl, killing her and ending my game. anybody burning this, it doesn't support vga mode. threw out a few burns before i realized i need to flip that off.
I own an import of this but have never played it. Glad to hear it's interesting, at least.

even translated, i needed a walkthrough on a password that related to numeric values on a jp keyboard. yeah, it's worth a playthrough, you won't get far on an import i imagine. although, it is a bit resident evil lite as far as puzzles and rooms go so who knows. i have an import of deep fear. haven't even tried fumbling through that one yet.

I've wanted to try this for a while, the gameplay footage I've seen looks pretty good. Glad to hear you liked it as well. Did you end up finishing the game?

nah, not yet. I'm on the last level i believe. these types of games i play a couple times, then need a break before i want to dig in again lol. limited continues as well. can't read the menu options or i'd change that if it were available.

Never heard of this game, so appreciate the info about it. I'm a fan of survival horror but haven't played too many on the Dreamcast. Outside of RE: Code Veronica, have any favorites on the system?
I'd like to play Blue Stinger because it looks really weird but fun. Lol. Carrier also looks interesting but have read mixed things about it.
i've tried blue stinger. just wasn't what i'm looking for. Carrier and illbleed i own, just not played yet. i prefer the old school resident evil style and that's basically what i got from seven mansions. nothing new here or trying to be somewhat different. just an easier, warm and fuzzy RE clone. Nemesis is the only one i lack on dreamcast,.
Carrier is ultimately a low-rent Resident Evil knock off. If you can find it cheap, great, it will scratch the itch. I got through most of the game using only the stun gun.
Blue Stinger is...quirky. It pulls inspiration from RE but isn't a clone the way Carrier is. I liked it well enough when I beat it, but if you want that classic Resident Evil vibe, it won't give it to you. Illbleed is also not going to provide that feeling.
Now if you want more RE and have already gone through the series Dreamcast ports and Dino Crisis, you could go for Alone in the Dark: New Nightmare. It has its own share of quirks and ridiculousness, but it will have you running around an old, dark mansion. The biggest problems I have with it are respawning enemies and puzzles/weapons that just feel silly.
I’m currently playing Operencia: The Stolen Sun (Switch). It is a grid-based, first-person dungeon crawler, that plays a lot like Legend of Grimrock, but with a more tactical turn-based battle system (that is remarkably similar to the battle system in FFX). Created by Zen studios, which built its reputation on the excellent Zen Pinball games, Operencia looks great; sounds great; has great characters and dialogue; is steeped in Hungarian folklore, and is just a lot of fun. The game lets you adjust the difficulty to your liking, and interestingly, it lets you redistribute your earned stat and skill points freely. This feature lets you really tinker with your characters until you get them to your liking, which I have found to be very helpful in dealing with the game’s more difficult battles. (I turned the battle difficulty up, and you may not need to do that if you’re playing the game with easier battles.)
All in all, it’s a solid dungeon crawler that, not only would serve as a great introduction to the genre, but also has a lot to offer people more experienced with dungeon crawling.

I had forgot about alone in the dark. I started that when it first came out, but at that time I cared more about chasing females than games so I didnt really get all into it. Might need to revisit that one later. I have the other 2 on 3do, but those have aged to much for my taste. Thanks for the suggestions.
