Optical migraine? If it hurts right behind your eyes, it could be a sinus headache which is caused by a sinus infection. If bending over makes it hurt worse, that's what it is.

Nope. I've been getting these for about the past year. Definitely not sinus related. They're pretty intense. To the point that I'm finding it difficult to focus on the screen and not the wavy flashy patterns overlaying my vision. Seems to happen about once a month. Last one was probably at the end of May though. Doctor tells me to just take an ibuprofen and take it easy, as with most migraines.
2. What is an optical migraine?

As opposed to a real migraine, an optical migraine also involves an aura that comes before a migraine attack, but there is the absence of pain. This is rarer than the migraine that comes with severe pain. It is also know as acephalgic migraine or visual or ocular migraine. It is a migraine aura unaccompanied by headache.

The visual disturbances that are experienced are flashing lights that look like zigzag or "fortress-like" lights. These auras usually begin as small visual marches crossing the field of vision that slowly fades away. Attacks like these last for several minutes to almost an hour.

If it will come with a headache, the pain will follow in an hour. An optical migraine can also be experienced as a blind spot in the field of vision.

I get migraines sometimes but mine get so intense that I have to have all lights off and no sounds or it hurts like hell.

Oh, I know exactly what an optical migraine is as I've had one three times. About this time last year I was getting them, no idea why they came and why they stopped. Just checking to see if you meant what it sounded like you mean.

The aura on mine lasted about 20 minutes, and then I'd have a headache the rest of the day. On the last one the headache lasted two, but they weren't severe headaches. The worst part was the 20-minute aura, as it made reading nearly impossible.

Been getting painless headaches almost everyday myself, I get mildly dizzy and my vision gets foggy (hard to make out things in the distance), and I should have 20/20 vision... It's really frustrating when this is each and every day. I remember one of my chiropractors back a few years ago showing me that you can push around your head and by pushing away the painful spots it sometimes helps (sounds stupid, but it works sometimes for me). I think for me it's just being overstressed, but yeah I have neck/alignment issues too. Always had headaches a few years back, and now these dizzy spells seem to be the new thing.

I might consider getting an eye exam sometime though just to be sure. But yeah I think it's stress/neck issues for me, who knows.

I had issues reading up close so i guess my eyes were straining to focus after awhile.
Now i just get blinding migranes from time to time but that maybe caused from all my previous head traumas. I try to find a dark room and put a cool towel over my eyes and forehead along with some over the counter migrane pills.

On the topic of eyeballs, I have a habit of squinting which is weird because I'm not sure if I'm blind and just don't know it or if it means something else. haha
