Haha. Definitely had no idea though. All these remasters are making me lose track of the specifics.
It's probably just a coincidence then, since the release dates are just a few months apart. But I love how gritty and brutal the combat feels in both Tomb Raider and The Last of Us. It's extra funny playing Tomb Raider right after I got done replaying Dead Space 1-2 because of the same composer, the guy didn't even really try to change up the formula, yet it somehow fits the new Tomb Raider here haha. Intense stuff. The gameplay itself feels a little Dead Space influenced as well at times.
Definitely digging it more than Uncharted honestly. Beyond the climbing and puzzles, Uncharted's gameplay and combat is just way too bare bones for me.

It isn't available in survivor, and it makes the game really intense. I'm excited to see what grounded is like, seeing as survivor is pretty hard, and grounded is just plain worse.Xeogred wrote:Is that not accessible in survivor mode? That's probably awesome. See through walls abilities always kind of ruin games.
Also, Ellie is the bomb.com.

I still haven't heard all the jokes, but I just felt I should say that.

While we're on the topic of The Last of Us, I want import the Japanese version for some strange reason. The voice acting is amazing from the videos that I have seen online. It does have full English subs, but it is more of a weird curiosity for me. I have already completed the game once on the PS3.

I wonder how NaughtyDog games do over there?
One final note I forgot to mention, I think Tomb Raider looks a bit better than Last of Us. Note that this is my first time playing both and I'm comparing the remastered PS4 versions. It sounded like they went the extra mile with Tomb Raider though and redid the character models I think? Last of Us has better mo cap and a more consistent framerate though, but yeah Tomb Raider looks current gen for sure.

Apparently, The Last of Us has done REALLY well in Japan. I believe it had over 100,000 copies sold in the first week on PS3.Xeogred wrote:I wonder how NaughtyDog games do over there?
