StarCraft teaches me that I can kill people more effectively if I shoot up with dangerous drugs first.Michi wrote:: I was watching CNN when Wolf Blitzer brought up video games and the recent shooting. I was expecting a mention of Mass Effect, since that's what I've been reading about lately. Smile: In only two days after taking a risk on a big gaming lot I'm now less than $50 from breaking even.
Ticked: Profits will likely go to things other than gaming for the time being, though I kept enough stuff for myself to have plenty to dive into.

he said warcraft right after that.Michi wrote:: I finally found a free program that will import the long video files I have quickly and then let me select the sections I need and convert it to any format. Hurray!

The UK tabloids have named video games in relation to the recent shooting in America too. They went for Call of Duty and... Dynasty Warriors!?

What? Dynasty Warriors doesn't even have guns ...alienjesus wrote:The UK tabloids have named video games in relation to the recent shooting in America too. They went for Call of Duty and... Dynasty Warriors!?
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Did he? I missed that part. He must have said it some time before my brain re-booted. I was probably still trying to figure out how he could have pronounced it so poorly.stickem wrote:he said warcraft right after that.Michi wrote:: I finally found a free program that will import the long video files I have quickly and then let me select the sections I need and convert it to any format. Where are they getting these games from? Are the few people this guy apparently spoke to just listing off stuff they watched him play, or are the writers just pulling game titles out of their a$$?alienjesus wrote:The UK tabloids have named video games in relation to the recent shooting in America too. Big Smile: Had a great night on the town to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. Plenty of laughs, good company with each other.
Smile: Had a copy of Yakuza 2 sent to my address from Gamestop. Was expecting disc only, came CIB. Awesome!
Frown: Was wondering when videogames were going to get thrown in as a scapegoat for the shooting tragedy. Correlation does not imply causation. I don't know if it's part of our human condition, but why do our minds or the minds of our media focus on what might've attributed to these incidents. It's not Marilyn Manson, Video Games, or the Occult. What gets less attention is are preventative measures we might employ to make sure something like this never happens again.
