I had until December 29th to finish my final project for a class I'm in. Today the professor tells us, "Ooops that was a mistake, I actually meant the 20th."

But chopping off nine days with only a three days notice... That's messed up.

in all seriousness this guy shouldn't have a leg to stand on if he changed the date to something earlier (especially this close). Changing date clauses are really for pushing dates back, not moving them up. I'd say tell him you will hand in your project on the date assigned in writing, and if he says no go above his head.

Early this morning the ISIS system generated a letter to most BU students indicating that they were no longer enrolled in any classes and listing the actions they should take. This message was sent in error. We have already sent an email letter to all students instructing them to ignore the message and to refrain from taking the actions described in the errant message. If you receive a call about this situation, please advise students as I have described above. Students have not been “unenrolled” in classes and they should not take any actions described in the original errant message. I will be sending out a follow-up message to students shortly.

We are diagnosing the system problem that tripped this letter, which is, in fact, the form letter we send out when a student actually is “unenrolled.” It is important to note that the system was not compromised and student data was not at risk. More details to follow.

Found out that there was a minor error in filing my unemployment claim. The woman who helped me called me up yesterday and explained it to me and will try to fix it.

My checking account is $20some in the red.

My sleep schedule is normalized. Last night, I went to bed around 10:30-11p and got up today around 8:30a. And the previous nights I went to be around 5-7p and woke up 4-5a the next day.

Frown: Checked online for quick, cheap digital prints and noticed that Wal*Mart had them for eight cents a photo. Woo-Hoo! I'm finally going to print out the hundreds of pictures from my wedding.

I get to Wal*Mart, mega flash drive in hand and I am told "That's the Wal*Mart online price. They're twenty three cents per print here".

The exchange went as follows:

*with a suspicious grin* You're puling my leg right?

WME (walmart employee): No. That's the online price, you have to pay the in-store price.

Me: Well that's rather odd. Well, you do price match don't you?

WME: Yes.

Me: Okay, price match the on-line walmart price.

WME: I can't do that.

Me: You can't price match your own price?

WME: That's the online store though.

Me: But you'll price match best buy's and amazon's online prices right?

WME: Yes.

Me: But you won't price match your own online prices.

WME: That's how it works.

Me: Will you match Target's online price?

WME: Yes.

Me: Does any of this make any sense to you?

WME: I don't care. I don't even want to be here.

Me: I think I'll be going to Target instead.


I know we have a few Wal*Mart employees on this forum; is this common practice? Wal*Mart will price match other on-line stores but not their own? I understand that different departments may operate differently, but this made zero sense.

Nine cents! My whoops. I know some sites on the net are even cheaper if you search a bit.

We will match other retailer's advertized prices, but no we won't match our online prices. Hastings operates the same way.
