samurai megus

to those who say I post too much
Try watching Storage Wars, Pawn Stars, Cajun Pawn Stars all day long with a elderly man who throws temper tantrums all the time

I see you repeatedly writing things about your grandfather to the effect of he lost his marbles and that he had a stroke and is at risk for falling. Did you ever think it may not be a picnic for him as well? Put yourself in his shoes he has lost control of his life and independence due to health issues he can't control and now has to rely on others to care for his needs. Did you ever stop complaining long enough to think he may be depressed and feeling worthless struggling to come to terms with his limitations. Insted of watching tv take him outside and watch nature, or read to him.

he's learning this now.

It sucks having responsibility thrust upon you.

At his age its hard to express himself.

It also must be horrible for his grandpa. In those few moments of clarity, he has realized his life is a burden on others. Have lots of patience, youre gonna need it samuraimegas.

Your grandpa will realize your doing your best with helping him out.

My Dad went blind over the last 2 years and him being divorced I have to go back and forth helping him out. He only has about 15-20% vision left. He is somewhat independent and he does have his own place, but I still have to get him his food, wash his stuff and buy his meds.

What little free time I have from work and days off, I'm heading his way to do errands for him.

Do your best SamuraiMegas. You arent the only one that has family with special needs.

When i was his age my fathers health started failing i worked on our small farm and had 2 part time jobs as well as school. By the time i was 16 his elderly mother moved in with us she had the early stages of alzheimers so i dropped out and got a full time job to support my family plus other side jobs. The only time i had alone was when and if i slept. I had no mom or family to help me half the time i had to help my brother with his bills. I know how hard it is but i would give anything to have my dad or grandma back.

For shits and giggles I decided to make a chart of the games I've beaten over the past few years (dating to 2009) to see which consoles get the most and least play relative to one another. I did this after I discovered yesterday that my Wii had been unplugged for two months without me even noticing

I've thought about getting another cheap Wii and hooking it up with my monitor setup so I might actually use it. We have on in the living room that my wife does play, and one in the bedroom that's pretty strictly used for Netflix. Of all things to make me want to actually play a Wii, I'm actually excited about that Kirby collection that was announced recently.

EDIT: Or maybe I'll just replace the bedroom Wii with a Roku player. Hmm.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom is pretty much the only thing keeping me from getting rid of my Wii. After/if I beat Xenoblade I'll probably sell it and the few games I have.

Did anyone buy The Last Story for Wii? Seems to be getting significantly less buzz than Xenoblade Chronicles did.
