I'm happily married, (even have sexy time) but I would possibly be open to renting a Summer Cottage for a few weeks with you to enjoy the awesomeness of sonic cd. You know, a bro thing we could do.

We actually have a family-owned cottage on the lake about two miles down the road.

I still need to get the actual Sega CD version of Sonic CD. Been enjoying it on Windows 95.

(...Still talking about RE4) I just beat RE4! To think that in 2007 I wouldn't give this game the time of day, and now I had a blast playing it. I liked it so much, I actually wanna play through a second time right away, but I think I'll play the unlocked extras first.

RE4 seems like it might be even more fun the second time around. Sure, that thrill of not knowing what's around every corner will be gone, but now I know how to play the game and not suck at it.

The only other time I beat a game then immediately played through it again was Metal Gear Solid 3. And it's funny, they actually compare quite well. They're both third person shooters. When you beat the game, they both offer some extra stuff for your next play through (keep your old weapons, different skin, etc) and that makes you wanna play it again. Hell, RE4 even keeps the "rounds" tally on your save file. It's like they'd know you'd wanna play through the game over and over.

Dude yeah, that's probably one of the few post SNES/Genesis games that I've replayed probably a dozen times. You'll probably laugh at how good you do a second time around, with how much more ammo you'll have stocked, weapons upgraded faster, etc, as you're more than likely much better at it now. I think I beat one of the versions on Professional mode too which was awesome. There's cool unlockables and some extras as always with older Capcom stuff. Just like Devil May Cry and such. There's still tons to do after beating it.

Separate Ways is very cool.

Dead Space was the same deal for me too. I got every achievement on that one, replayed it a ton.

Something kinda funny about when I played MGS3, but contains spoilers about the game...
So I played through MGS3 for the first time and had so much fun I immediately played through it a second time. Also, like we said, you're better at the game after your first play. The first time I played MGS3 I killed almost every one I came in contact with. You know that part when you're going down the river and there's all the ghosts of the people you killed up to that point? That part took FOREVER my first play through. Funny though, the second time I played through the game I wanted to play more stealth and less Rambo. During my second play, at that river part there was only the bosses that I killed and that one guy that I accidentally killed (who I wanted to say sorry to as he passed by).

With RE4, I've read that if you beat Separate Ways you can get the Chicago Typewriter. I was contemplating getting it and saving up for the Infinite Rocket Launcher and just blowing the hell out of everything for my second play through.

So is the Android port. Having both soundtracks available is nice. No hating on the one we got; Spencer Nilsen did well enough with it.

Ack

your list shows you played the SNES extensively. I have special memories with Tuff e Nuff. I know it as Dead Dance. When I went to buy a SNES , I think I got 1 free game to pick or I was buying it as my first SNES game. I picked Dead Dance and to this day I regret it. I was the average consumer(child) that didn't know any better.

As a revenge on the game I decided to beat the game for the first time a y couple of years ago. I got to the final boss and then I just couldn't beat him :(

Surprisingly easy to use. Giant d-pad area and obviously Sonic only needs a single button to play. Menus are all touch screen navigated. It takes a tiny bit of getting used to but once you get into it it's as easy as playing it on a real controller in my opinion.

Touchscreens only really fail in games where you need to be able to see every little thing and games that require lots of buttons. Fighters on a touch screen sound awful. Most platformers, barring Super Meat Boy, are pretty fine I think.
Older. Not wiser.

Well I got my 3DO USB-modded a while back. A buddy had access to Best Buy's Black Friday nonsense a week early, so I just picked up a 128gig flash drive for a whopping $28. So now I have every 3DO game loaded up onto it and plugged in ready to go.

Time to throw down on some Lucienne's Quest.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed

I like Sonic CD, but it isn't the best Sonic of the era.

Sonic 1 = best Sonic game, easily. The other 16-bit Sonic games are all pretty great on their own account (including Sonic CD), but each one felt like a little bit more of a let down than the last...a pattern that persisted for the main (console) line of games until Generations.

Are you saying Colors was worse than 06, Unleashed, and Black Knight?

I go back and forth between 1 and 2. 1 is consistently good, but 2 outshines it in certain moments. The last boss of 2 blows 1's away. It has more stages, it has super sonic, the bonus stages are better (imo). But, I think if I had to choose, 1 would win out.

I don't enjoy CD very much.
