What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

SUPER FUCKING PISSED-The kids laptop screen I broke had been one of my best friends.
Now, I had asked if he knew it would cost me more because he wrote I did it on porpose (got it changed to accidental) and he said he only cared that his laptop got fixed.
I promptly told him to fuck off and leave me the hell alone for a good while and some other stuff.
It was 25 for accidental 175 for porpose.

People freak out too much about their electronics IMO. The 14-year-old girl across the street from me cried all day when she dropped her XP-era dinosaur and broke the screen... even though she had a backup CRT monitor available for emergency use. Oh, the horror of having to keep your PC on a desk!

Either way you were horsing around and $25 and $175 are both cheap to fix a laptop screens. Be glad you don't have to pay what it will actually cost and it is being subsidized by the school.

Frown: Got a Nintendo WiiU today. Got it home. Did the mega update. Registered my Mii. Then I get to the home screen and the entire thing is full of these multi colored artifacts, flashing about super fast. The Wii U controller had the same thing going on.

Long story short: Nintendo's customer support had never heard of this error so (naturally) they want me to send my machine in. They are giving me really fast shipping but I won't get a new machine till early next week. So much for this weekend that I set aside for ZombiU.

Wistful Smile: This happens to me with every Nintendo product I am an early adopter for. My first Wii had some critical error that wouldn't let it talk to the Internet. My launch DS had dead pixels like you wouldn't believe. My launch 3DS had weird sound issues.

I love Nintendo and I think they make really good products but I am unlikely as hell when I adopt early.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

The laptop is like one of those mini ones.... small screen, keyboard no number pad etc...

:D : Finally done with the ebay mess that I've been dealing with since I received a fucked up PS2 in the mail on my birthday. I've officially been refunded the full purchase amount.

 : I've learned that Ebay's prepaid shipping labels are a pain in the ass.
