While it still starts poorly, I believe a few levels have been cut down too, so you get to the good stuff much faster. It's not a great game, there were some cool ideas in Daikatana, and most of them shine through on the N64. If you plan to play the game in single player and don't mind a controller, this port is probably a better choice.
By some awful luck N64 Daikatana was featured on James & Mike Mondays today.

Haha, yeah, the controls aren't great. And despite these problems, the N64 port is still the one that is easier to play.

Philips stated that the two companies have sealed a deal to cross-license portions of each other’s patent portfolios and that it would terminate patent infringement proceedings against Nintendo in Germany, Britain, France and the United States.

...What patents does Phillips have that Nintendo could possibly need?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

They own patents on a bunch of random things like "virtual body modelling" and 3d interfaces which they have sued Nintendo about in the past.

(Talking about RE4 still) Oh good, Ashley got separated from me. I don't mind in games when you have to take care of / look out for some one that's constantly following you, but I was wondering how long I'd have to put up with Ashley. I was so happy when she fell into that trap!
