I suppose it is fair to say this game beat me rather than I beat it, but I did get to the end credits. I could get into Level 3 on one credit and to the Level 4 boss before the bonus credits started kicking in, but getting through all of level 4 and level 5 required me to keep playing the seven hours needed to finally unlock free play. This game must be the hardest shmup I've ever come across, and its cruel reputation is well deserved. Still, it is a great game and the feeling you get when you do have a good long run is almost unparalleled.
Anyway, I have to tackle 12 games in 15 days if I am going to get to 100. Time to get crackin'!

Yeah, some of the ones I've played recently have been quite short. Bonkers, Smartball, The Magical Quest, and The Great Circus Mystery can all be beaten in a couple of hours, if you have access to them.MrHealthy wrote:Play some short platformers! I hadn't played Tetris in years, so it was good to see I still had it what it took. I got the full shuttle and the full set of the Russian musicians in around an hour or so of play.
I'd played with Halo 2600 in Flash, but never got far. Playing the ROM with my PSP was much better - the analogue stick works quite well and the game still provides a very fair challenge (especially the boss). This is easily in my top 3-4 2600 games.
