Can I ask how much the NBA Jam machine put you back? I gotta be honest, that is one machine I would find room for. Awesome find.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Well, first of all... I went to Gamestop today to buy Goldeneye 007 on the Wii for $10 brand new/sealed today. Took it home and opened it up to find scratches and fingerprints on the disc, so the friggen game had been resealed by Gamestop employees. Am I surprised? Of course not. I called the dude at the store about it and he said he'd try to find me another sealed copy at a different store. So we'll see what happens there. But next time I'm not leaving the store without opening it first!
Anyway, my "real" finds today are as follows:
Cyberspeed (PS1) *Longbox Complete/Fair condition* - $1
Ridge Racer V (PS2) *MINT* - $2
Summer Heat Beach Volleyball (PS2) *Very Good* - $2

I paid $310 (and about $40 in gas round trip, hour each way in a large truck).retrosportsgamer wrote:Can I ask how much the NBA Jam machine put you back? I gotta be honest, that is one machine I would find room for. Awesome find.
The guy selling is in the country, about 40 mins from any decent populace. I originally saw it about a month ago for $500. When he dropped it to $400 I called up and went to look at it. I offered $275 and we agreed on $310. Not sure what market is on them. This is in real nice shape, all sticks / buttons had excellent response and no major damage (save the plexiglass over the marquee could use replacing).

EB games or gamestop in the 90s might have given you $10 or less

Stopped by a thrift store on my way home from work and found a Game Gear, adapter, and 8 games for 15 bucks. First time owning a GG! I have always wanted one so today was a good chance to get it. They wanted 60 bucks for everything but I convinced the lady to knock it down to 15 without much resistance because I told her it was in bad shape. It just has some scratches on the screen and some dirt in the crevices.

Nice. Might I inquire as to what games you got with it? Also, how is the sound and the screen? My game gears screen is quite good (a little dusty underneath perhaps), but I have to plug in speakers and turn them up loud to hear any sort of sound.hashiriya1 wrote:Stopped by a thrift store on my way home from work and found a Game Gear, adapter, and 8 games for 15 bucks. Haha nice, I tried that once at a thrift store. They had a nes with a really badly beat up shell that was cracked and yellowed beyone belief. I had a broke nes with a nice minty shell so I asked if she would bump the price down $10 because of the damage Jthey were asking $20) instead she changed the price tag on it to $30 and told me I was lying and it was in perfect shape... lolhashiriya1 wrote:Stopped by a thrift store on my way home from work and found a Game Gear, adapter, and 8 games for 15 bucks.
