Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Hobie must have been reading the article through Google. If you go to news.google.com and type in "mysterious-force-blocks-car-remotes-in-yonkers app.com", you'll get the article on the Asbury Park Press website and be able to read it.
I use the Google trick all the time to read articles for free on the nytimes.com website.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
I had gotten there via a post on Consumerist, which seems to be down at the moment. I just went ahead and linked what they were posting to. I did follow the link to APP do be sure it worked before I dumped here.

Man, the cops are out in force today.
I only did a little over an hour of driving total all day, and in that brief time I saw 16 cops, and the majority of them were somewhere in the process of pulling someone over/issuing a ticket.
Must be time to push to meet quota.
(That last bit is a joke. Please don't start on me about whether or not the quota thing is true, because I seriously don't care.)

Netflix and Hulu should merge -- best of both TV and movies -- but a mixture of red and green in a logo won't work. Need new colors.
Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Sounds like fund raising to me. A radio station here during rush hour would announce on air where cops were doing speed traps and call them fund raisers. That was until they got hit with a gag order to stop announcing them on the air.CFFJR wrote:Man, the cops are out in force today.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
I'd feel bad doing it, but I want to just take a day to go to Houston, just kind of drive around, eat some nice food, check a couple game stores, and get a massage or something...
Or, I could move there and start an underground dance club that focuses on playing Euro metal and pop metal, and maybe a bit of dubstep. I'd sell drugs from the bar, mostly liquid X and LSD. I'd employ women from eastern Europe as cage dancers, barmaids, etc, allowing me somewhat cheaper labor and giving them a good way to make it to the US.
I like making up bullshit.
