Dude, Taboo and Bible Adventures are great collector's pieces because they're just so damn WEIRD. What color is your Bible Adventures cartridge? I've got the baby blue one (which, at least from my experience, is the more common color), but I've seen the black cartridge once or twice in the wild.

Might wanna rethink that stance if you do indeed get on RFGen. They have separate categories for PC, GOG.com, and Steam, as VC, DSiWare, eShop, PSN, and XBLA listings. It's a great way to keep track of digital stuff.

And those are some nice Atari, ColecoVision, and VIC-20 finds. Nice to see someone else getting into the second gen, we are a rare breed here. And Gateway to Apshai is totally boss, by the way.

Same with Backloggery (which is what I use).

I totally agree! That's why they were priority one on my wishlist for months and years, respectively. My Bible Adventures is black, actually! Perhaps I just got lucky, because I ordered it through lukiegames, which doesn't discern between the variants.

I just finished adding my stuff to RFGen, actually! I'm not against other people buying digital, or counting digital, it's that I don't do it for either. I haven't bought a digital game in years, nor have I played one. Just not my style, so I was curious to see ElkinFencer's different lists, since I view collecting in a physical manner. I mean, it's hard for someone like me who collects second generation, like you pointed out, to keep up with all this Steam mumbo jumbo. But yeah, thanks! I was so surprised when I got all of those Atari, Coleco, and Vic-20 games, plus the Colecovision, Module #1, and Atari 2600 Jr. consoles for only $65. Especially since Apshai goes for over $30. :P

I've got Spiritual Warfare and Joshua, myself. The former is black, the latter powder blue.

I need Spiritual Warfare. I actually got a CIB copy of Joshua last Christmas, haha. Speaking of which, cool things happen when you're friends with a local game store owner, he knows what games you have, and your mom and him collaborate behind your back to give you a real Christmas retro surprise (I also got a boxed Power Pad, a really neat Gamecube promotion standee, and a slew of common games that I didn't own).

Jeebus games entertain me, so I want to add some of the other old ones to my collection (especially the KJV Bible on Game Boy).

I'm also feeling the urge to add my collection to other places...I've been taking a look at the Completionator site and Collectorz "Game Collector" program. I mean, there's no point, really, since I keep my Backloggery up to date, and I like that site's interface, but there are some really cool features of those other two (especially Game Collector).

I used to admin vgcollect before the webmaster went MIA and the crap edits/submissions that new users would add to the already rudimentary database drove me nuts (example: Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda for NES would be submitted as "mario" and "zelda" by people in remote Eastern Europe quite frequently). I since used (and still use) Excel to catalog my games, and I only use rfgeneration because people on these forums can't view my spreadsheet easily, unless I use google docs or something.

and it's totally not an attempt to show off my tiny e-peen in the signature field at all
