I agree, some of my favorite Game Boy music can be found in Kirby games.

Also, you mentioned in the comments you had hardly played any Kirby games before. Is that true?

I dismissed them entirely for years because I had gotten the impression they were for kids.

When I was buying my first NES at Funco Land, some dude was trading in his NES with all his games. For whatever reason, Funco Land wouldn't accept his copy of Kirby's Adventure and T&C Surf Designs. He noticed I was buying a NES, and gave me the two games. Kirby's Adventure because one of my favorite NES games, but I'm not sure how long it would have taken me to try it if I wasn't given a copy.

Can't wait to watch the video.

I'm not a huge Kirby fan but they're almost always incredibly well made games and they're fun to chill out to.

I'm glad you did this one!

Oh, good, so it's not just me! I thought I must have had an off-beat opinion of it, but thanks for confirming that it IS indeed slow. Any time I try and play the game, I play many one level before I just get fed up with how slow it plays. I picked up Dreamland 3, along with Super Star, after really enjoying Adventure on the NES. So I was really use to the gameplay of Adventure, and for that reason I just couldn't ever get into Dreamland 3.

Also, the art style. I usually love the hand-drawn look. Yoshi's Island, for example, looks fantastic. There's just something about Dreamland 3 though that I've never liked. Instead of bright and vivid colors, like all Kirby games have (sans the GB ones, of course), it just looks really pale. Like my TV isn't set right and all the colors are washed out. That, along with the slow game play, has really kept me from playing the game.

I'm looking forward to your Super Star review!

I played the three KDL games, Adventure and Super Star exclusively for a long while, and KDL 3 was by far the most... blah. I got bored with that one pretty quickly.
