I will never get to those later stages so it doesnt matter.marurun wrote:I read in the WP article that in later stages some enemies can fire shots faster than you can dodge and in those cases hyperspace is the only way to escape. Sort of a last ditch gamble.

I will have to have another crack tonight to see if I can make an improvement. Maybe try to save some more people?

3 terrible, embarrassing attempts later I got lucky and made it back into 4th place with 28725!

Took a few more tries at it and managed to bump my score up a bit. I think I can do better though.

Just this night I thought I'd try again before moving onto Kid Icarus. Two more hours of frustration, and I was getting consistently 20k. I never seemed to get past 24, 25k though. I got so close to 30k and the extra bomb and I was thinking of calling it a day. But then I got lucky and managed 6k on the first wave, focused a lot and had the 2nd wave went nicely without losing a single live and sparing most of the bombs. In the third wave, I got an extra live that let me get to 30k with some 2 or 3 lives to spare (excuse me for not remembering ), got the extra smart bomb and managed this score (the world exploded, and I still scored a good bit after that).
