Awesome job buddy! This game is one of those where you just think if you play it right there's no reason to ever die...and then you die 3x in 30 seconds on the second stage.

I'm gonna give it a good 2-3 hours tomorrow night - I just feel like i'm inches away from a beastly run. I really like games like this where runs are super fast - 10 minutes is a long run - much better than the early 90's marathon games, imo.

EDIT: so no one else is changing their pro gear picks other than me, so leave it at pro gear x4, replace the first listed pro gear w/mushi on the list I sent you (noise / hash)

If someone wants to post a number, 1-15, noise or hash can tell us what we're playing starting tomorrow at midnight...

I wish I could give this one some more time. Spend all night outside looking for our lost cat. :x Sorry team, I haven't been able to put much into this tournament.

I vote for DOJ (1st choice) then Mushihimesame (2nd choice)

There's still one more full day, Joe. This one goes until midnight Thursday.

Well, I think the boys are down for the night, so here's the list they are working off of:

2001-2005:
6. Pro Gear Mushihimesama (mjmr25 switch)
7. DoDonPachi II: Bee Storm
8. Pro Gear Mushihimesama (foxhound1022 switch)
9. EspGaluda II
10. EspGaluda
11. Gradius V
12. DDP DOJ
13. EspGaluda II
14. Pro Gear
15. Under Defeat
1. Ibara
2. Cho Aniki: Seinaru Protein Densetsu
3. Zero Gunner 2
4. Pro Gear
5. Pro Gear

So the choice would have been Pro Gear, but it is Mushihimesama due to foxhound1022's re-pick. For full disclosure, he pm'd me his switch about an hour before skate selected #8, i'm happy to take a screen shot of the time-stamped PM if anyone is concerned about this being on the level, etc.

Oh cool, I thought it ended tonight. Hopefully I'll get some free time tomorrow night.

Mushihimesama sounds like a fun pick. I've been wanting to play it for a while. Have you guys settled on a mode? Ultra, right? :P

I can deal with that. Funny enough before I decided to use a truly random number, I was going to choose 6, which also would have been this due to your re-pick.

is the PS2 port OK?

So...I guess I'm a one-man team.

Anyhoo, Mushi will be fun. I'll submit a score even though it seems my team quit.

Mushihime-sama runs quite smoothly (with no slowdown!) on the recent UME build. Links are still available...somewhere.

Just made it to the Stage 3 boss with the blitter turned off, so I reckon I should be able to do even better once I try turning it on. :)

Can anyone who also has the PCB/Xbox version report on a decent setting that gets it fairly close to the original?

I'll post a score after work today. Still not happy with what I'm ending up with, but meh.
