Once while mowing the lawn I had two dudes (I suspect they were Mormons) ask me "Excuse me, is the owner of this house at home today?".
One day when my wife and I were working in our backyard, which is fenced in with a six foot privacy fence with trees surrounding it (so it is completely enclosed and private), either a Mormon or Jehova's Witness decided to let himself through the gate and into our backyard to talk to us. No warning, no can I come back, nothing. So after I saw it was not someone I knew and that he was obviously a door to door religion seller, I told my wife to go inside and I gave him a nice warning. I simply said "You have ten seconds to get off my property before you get to meet your god." he stumbled on his words for a second and I followed up with "my wife just went to get the shotgun" and with that he was gone.
I would have had no problem with it if he had called out and announced himself, but he just let himself into my backyard like he was family. Would I have shot him, no, but he could have been anyone, or we could have been naked.
