Man, I hope this doesn't affect ATLUS titles coming west. Would be great to see more SEGA games be localized as a result but I won't hold my breath.

Time will tell I suppose.

Best case scenario, Sega allows Atlus to continue operating as they were. Business as usual. Perhaps even better than before, and Atlus starting working on actual Sega titles and localizing niche ones.

Worst case scenario, Sega acts like Sega.

I don't see any reason why Sega would change the way Atlus runs, so long as Atlus stays profitable.

I will say though, in terms of IPs, Sega and Atlus feel like a good pair.

Personally I'm glad Sega got the rights and not Nintendo, Microsoft or Playstation. Their games can still come to all the platforms as Sega is just a software company. Obviously If Sony got the rights Shin Megami games could no longer be released on the 3DS as it competes with the Vita and if Nintendo got it then they couldn't release on the PS3/4. I am surprised though, I thought SEGA was financially not doing well, how did they come up with the money to purchase Atlas?
