Razzmatazz wrote: Finally, somebody who appreciates the Rashad and Confidence album. I gave that shit a 10/10 at rapreviews.com. Good to see more hip hop heads on here. I'm 26 myself, but having a daughter has really made me appreciate the more mature style of hip hop that artists such as Phonte and Torae provide. The beauty with hip hop is that it encompasses so many different styles, and it's why I enjoy watching the Deadend Hip Hop videos on Youtube seeing Mike (the "backrap/alternative") feuding with Beezy (the boom bap traditional one) and Feefo (the youngest, more mainstream guy).
Two of my fave websites collide in one person! So you write for rapreviews? I love rapreviews! Wish I had enough time to check out everything. I'll check out the Deadend stuff too - this thread has been so much more than i expected. And you're from Brizzle? WHAT a history that place has with UK Hip Hop!

Man I miss when rap was this authentic. Anyone in the game today owes a great debt to the Iceman.

For some reason my friend at work will occasional make the claim that I am Vanilla Ice's son.

I don't get it. :(

The amount of integrity that man had was amazing, and he really proved that rappers could be successful actors with his film Cool as Ice.

That album is incredibly solid. It has a good song on it, which is at least one more than the vast, vast majority of rap albums being released today.

But at the core of his soul he is an incredible husband and father that proved jack-o-lantern tattoos and some of the illest lyrics of all time can land you several jobs at VH1 and a cameo in a TMNT movie.

And if it not be for RVW, there would be no Bieber Biebeibers. And really, who would want to live in a world with no guys named Justin?
