Very nice. I like how they implemented the controller ports to be nice and symmetrical so it doesn't look as Frankenstein-esque as the Retron 3.

And it seems to definitely be emulation through Android which is great (including a USB port for firmware updates). The SD card slot (if it remains in the final version) is icing on an already nicely topped cake.

I'm sold.

I am really excited for this, maybe even more so than the next gen consoles.
The ability for software updates is really exciting! This means they have longer to perfect features, as long as there's no hardware problems. Not much new news, but the announcement for the target price is awesome. I will certainly be picking one of this up.

Sorry for the double-post.

These would be kind of neat to pair up with the RetroN 5 if they work:

Thanks for the headsup on that Jinx, I have my friends at E3 heading over to their booth today to give them a go.

From what I hear, the N64 controller is actually a pretty good clone (better than most at least). Haven't heard much about the other ones yet. Would be interested in hearing what they think.

Not a whole lot of coverage on the RetroN 5 or Retro-Bit stuff. Not that I expected much, but there's only one or two videos up on YouTube. I'd liked to have seen at least a few more... :/

I hope RetroBit say whether their GBA-SNES is GB & GBC compatible and if it needs a separate cable.
N64/NES/FC/SNES/SFC/GB (SGB)/GBC (Black)(SGB)/FDS/Satellaview/Genesis/Mega Drive/Master System & maybe N64DD/GBC/GBA.

I don't remember a clone ever being released with this much fanfare.

Usually they quietly appear on the market with a statement of, "Well it's almost as good as the real thing, expect it won't play X, Y, and Z. And the sound sucks."

This looks like the real deal. It should be a great space-saver too - assuming compatibility is perfect I can shelf and preserve my NES, SNES, and Genesis.

The Famicom slot will finally give me an excuse to start buying Famicom games. Maybe I'm getting too excited, but this is the coolest piece of hardware I've seen in a long time.
