I think you are taking a video game system a little too seriously...
Besides...the 3DS is from Japan yo.

I said this earlier
It has been the ignored truth of the CPP since its release.

Well this is the what I've been waiting for. I hoped the original 3DS would be this sort of size and the battery life is still crap, but its going in the right direction. Are there any 3rd party batteries that last longer than the standard one?

Also, not too bothered about the CPP. Sure it would have been nice to have 2 sticks from the outset, but whatever, there are still some cool looking games on it.

First up on my list will be Sonic Generations, Star Fox and Kid Icarus.

Nyko has a powerpak for the original 3DS that pretty much doubles the battery life, maybe they'll produce one for the XL. Also it's been confirmed at kotaku that a CPP XL will be released.

Yeah I saw something about an XL CPP, might get one of those for RE maybe. I'm not fussed about size as the main times I use the DS is when the TV is in use, so I'm normally in the house when I'm on a handheld anyway.

3ds xl circle pad pro - LOL

That thing is going to be insanely huge. Nintendo might as well have built a 3ds into the wiiu tablet. (actually, that wounds like a really good idea to me).

I just realized something: Capcom's the one backing the CPP, so once they come out that they were the ones behind the idea all along they'll be able to assign their own name to the 3DSXL's CPP equivalent. In Street Fighter fashion, I call it:
THE SUPER THREE DIMENSIONAL DUAL ARCADE EDITION SCREEN EXTRA LARGE CIRCLE PAD STRIKE PRO BONUS 2012 EXTREME MEGA EDITION

On a side note... i have no interest in playing a game that requires the slide pad that everyone is groaning about, then again my interest on Kid Icarus and Resident Evil games is pretty low.

The uninformed ramblings of a moron.
Seriously, did you even read that quote? Not able to communicate because of lack of infrared? Interference?  You do understand that all the infrared port is doing is taking light and converting it into a electrical signals. It is absolutely trivial to piggy back that information using an IC. After all, it is just communicating in binary. That is no more a reason that they didn't add a second analogue stick than "Nintendo despises symmetry in their handhelds". It's total hogwash.

The reason they didn't add a second analogue stick was purely because adding one would alienate their current user base as all developers moving forward will feel obligated to incorporate those extra controls into their games. 3DS XL is an OPTION for current users and new users alike. Just like the CCP is. Jesus, how are you guys not getting that?

End of argument.
