Why does the US get ripped on so much?

What brilliant argumentation!

This thread can go die now, I think.

ITT: We argue with Busomjack because 9gag hates America.

Calm down guys. Some of the things he said in this thread are true, or at least believable. His is just a semi-troll afteral...

Off topic. Is it bad that I think of Dolph Lundgren's voice when I read Busom's posts?...

Here's my main point on the last argument: Jack could have said it in a more respectful way.

Rather than taking a shot at Texas and its population, he could have said...

"Mr. Hawkings is a smart man, so I'd generally agree with his opinion."

And the main point everyone else is trying to make: don't take BJ too seriously. Or 9gag, or the internet, or the government for that matter.

Agreed, he's a bit impulsive in his responses. I don't think he's a bad guy though. Give him the benefit of a doubt...

Busom, this is your chance to straighten up. Control yourself boy...

Things should proceed normally from here.

To be fair, mostly we have been focusing on the rest of the world bashing the US of A when there is a fair amount of that going on here at home.

I wonder if that has something to do with how little Americans tend to get out of the country.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

??? I've been to Alaska AND Hawaii.

In all seriousness, yeah, that is part of it...and it is "worsening" if you will, with the Euro, Yen, GBP, and even Canadian Dollar (not meant as offensive, but rather ironic with all the "old" jokes) being stronger than the American Dollar.

I typically don't post in these threads, because it is so vast and there are so many reasons and arguments.

I much rather enjoy threads like "Why does the US Department of Commerce get ripped on so much..." - that is a much easier conversation to have. No offense meant to OP, at all.
