Still, it's a whole lot better than Sony's lacklustre roster in their recent smash bros clone.
I wonder whether this game will make an appearance on Breaking Bad!

Last I heard was early next year, like mid February. But some rumors say next week.
Has anyone tried the 5 player version on the Wiiu?
Re: Sega All-Stars Racing is getting a sequel: SASR Transfor
Picked this up for my Wii U during the Toys r US buy one get one 50% off sale, based on all the positive praise I have heard from you guys. I have to say, had I known it would be this awesome, I would have gotten it at launch! I cant believe how fun it is, and all the Sega fanservice is great. When I am playing, I cant wait to see what the next stage is, and what characters there are to unlock. The entire game can be played multiplayer, so my Wife and I have been doing all the challenges with me on the game pad and her on the TV. This is better than any Mario Kart I have played, and to think, had Toys r Us had Mario Kart 7 for the 3ds in stock, I would have gotten that.

We took the Wii U to a family event, and had 5 people racing with this, a mix of the game pad, pro controller, and wii remote/numchucks and it was a blast. Things would get crazy with everyone battling it out and coming for revenge on eachother.

I saw this on Classic Game Room today (YouTube), and if you're remotely into Sega, you'll find a reference. Featured in that video
Trophy: Scud Racer
"Justice Shot"
Golden Axe course
Crazy Taxi car going around the After Burner carrier
House of the Dead course
Shinobi course
Space Channel 5 characters
I'm sure if I actually had the game I'd find more but I wouldn't be surprised to see like references from Tranquilizer Gun or Subroc 3D or something

If you're a fan of kart racers (or even racing games in general,) you will enjoy this game. If you're a Sega fan as well, then you'll be in heaven from all the fan service in this game.
I enjoyed the first game, but Transformed is head and shoulders above it. Being a retro fan, I have to draw comparisons to Diddy Kong Racing, as it was the last racing game that truy held my gaming heart. The kart/plane/hover-boat dynamic is easily related to DKR, the actual difficulty, refined mechanics and World Tour mode to unlock characters are right there with it.
Serious, this game is difficult. Like trying to unlock TT in DKR or F-Zero GX difficult. But, it shines like those games in never being unfair. No rubber-banding of AI...if you lose, it's all you.

Has the Wii U version been patched to fix the issues of checkpoints missing and whatever other problems exist? Some reviews mention these issues, but I am wondering if they've been addressed with a patch yet. Thanks!

Unfortunately they have not been patched yet. Then only issue I have seen is the check point on the boost race challenge, non other glitches in the 5+ hours I have played. It sucks that that huge glitch is present though.

My xbox 360 copy came in just an hour ago. This game is hands down an improvement on the original which is amazing because the original was already so great.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
