I'd rather do a new fighter that's to Darkstalkers as MK was to Street Fighter.
Basically, taking Darkstalkers, adding graphic violence, throwing in some Soul Calibur-style weapon-based combat, and having a roster of fighters inspired by more modern horror icons like Freddy and Jason.
Oh, and it'd be 2D.
It'd also feature characters yours truly is working on for possible franchises inspired by preexisting ones, like Scream did with '80s slashers. I'm not divulging any details, but I know I won't get sued for them or have them called cheap knockoffs.
Two are tentatively named "The Baroness" and "The Plague Doctor".
