So Fix Or Repair Daily and Effed On Race Day are fair game then?

That's cool that you've held on to the truck that long. I keep vehicles until issues get out of hand, learned that from my parents. I don't really get people that change cars every couple of years and treat them like fashion statements. *shrug*

I've actually never heard those two. Fire away, fair's fair. At least its not a Dodge. You can hear those rusting from blocks away.

Yeah I don't understand those people either. I feel like people should have more appreciation for their cars, considering the abuse your average car goes through. Unless they're filthy rich enough to buy a car that's intended to be a statement, then its not a statement at all. It doesn't prove anything to roll over a lease.

I'd honestly do the same as you for any other car, but my truck is too special to me to let it go. Lots of memories of really great things you know? I've very attached to it. I know that's not practical, but I can't help it.

It's had quite a few problems, but I do take care of it and the mileage is quite low considering its age. I think it'll be a few years yet before I have to deal with major issues.

I haven't looked outside in a few hours. I wonder how much buildup I have.

I drive three cars. The 1989 celebrity was my first car. This picture of it is from a month ago
Spent about 3 grand in bodywork on the car. It has 250,000 miles on the clock. Carried me many mile. The 1978 el camino was my previous weekend cruiser, but that thirsty 350 took its toll. Got laid in the el camino many a time though huh huh. My newest addition is a 1965 chevy corvair drop top.I wish I had some pictures but since I don't actually own a computer(only a kindle fire) I only have access to photos that have already been uploaded to facebook.

I drive a red Yaris. Easy to park, cheap to run and enough room for shopping. Jobs a good 'un.

Occasionally I drive the wife's dark blue Toyota Yaris but mostly I use our dark blue Renault Megane Grand Scenic which is big enough to fit all the kids and their stuff.
Both cars were bought second hand from friends who wanted to get rid of them fast. Really good deals once I washed the blood out of the seats...

Surprisingly long ass post................

"My car" is a 2001 Chevy Cavalier. I fear that it's on its last legs, if it doesn't pass its next inspection it will become a "farm car", I'll keep it just to tool around the property and never register it again.

I have been driving my wife's 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. I like it. Surprisingly good gas milage and a very smooth ride. Plus, I look sexy sitting on the leopard print seats.

My wife has a 2011 Chevy Equinox that I try to drive whenever possible because the thing is a total boss. It's the only new(-ish) car I've ever driven and all the fancy controls up front make me feel like I'm piloting the Starship Enterprise.

In the barn we have a 1956 Ford F100. It is used rarely. And I do mean RARELY. Most current inspection stick.......... 1987. RANDOM FACTOID: Ever get the (relatively) cheap Red Truck wine at the grocery store? The painting on the label is of our truck.

I work at a storage business and some of the cars we have stored right now are ridiculous... old Mustangs, Lamborghinis, some classic Cadillacs and roadsters. I get paranoid as hell if I have to move/touch one of these.

Both of my vehicles.

1967 Ford F-250:
Me and my dad restored this truck roughly 3 years ago. It still needs some work as the interior is rough. We bought the truck from a man who used to live in Texas, so the truck is nearly rust-free. This is great because here in Michigan, the winters are brutal and an undercarriage will rot away if left untreated. The truck is stored during winter BTW 8)

1999 Ford Crown Victoria

The crown victoria is my daily driver and used to be an ex-FBI car. It was not used for making arrests, but rather as just a simple executive vehicle. It does have the police interceptor engine in it so whenever I feel the need to have someone eat my dust, I let them have it 8)

I posted it over in the Smile/Ticked off thread a few days ago, but I ended up buying a 10th Anniversary Mazda Miata on Thursday. 110k on it but after some cleaning the car is pretty minty minus some rock chips on the front (it's a Colorado car, and to be expected). Number 822/7500.

It's the first car I've payed solo for, and it's completely payed off. No loans or banks to deal with. It's 100% mine. 8)

Now that sounds nice. Not only having an LE car, but flat-out owning it as well.
