I've been meaning to, and I will, but it would take more than one game for me to change my
opinion of the N64. I can honestly say there's only about 5 games (that I know about) for the entire system that interest me at all, that's the main problem for me (in addition to the first-party games doing nothing for me). Ogre Battle 64 is the main one I need to check out.

Sounds like a strategy game from the name, if so, then it won't be changing my opinion on the N64, not a strategy game fan.

I'm a n64 fan. I got my first n64 a couple years ago. I only played a n64 once or twice before I got mine. Although, I had wanted one when it was in stores.
I like the N64's low poly graphics. They have the same lack-of-realism charm for me that 16-bit graphics have for others.

Do you like RPGs?

what do you mean you were around?
I was alive and paying attention to games when the N64 first came out. I had experienced the 16-bit generation prior to it, so I had a good understanding of how it compared.
Some younger kids on this board may have started gaming on the N64, or maybe even the PS2, so they don't fully understand how amazing the N64 was for its time.

Not only did I experience the 16-bit generation, but I also gamed during the NES years and even had an Atari 2600 before that. I still don't really like the N64 other than a few FPSs. And I'm not sure how amazing it is when the 3DO, Saturn, and PS1 all did what the N64 did before it. Not that it did anything bad, it just wasn't the "innovator" in the 3D department that many people try to label it.

Hack-n-slash and action-RPGs, but not turn-based RPGs so much. There are rare exceptions like Legend of Legaia but for the most part I stay away from turn-based battles and random-encounters.
