I can sorta relate to that. Mainly because I tend to play certain games during certain seasons. During the cold winter months I mainly play handhelds (this is evident to anyone who looks at my "Games Beaten 2012" list) because I can play in front of the fire or bundled up in bed. During the summer, when I don't have to work every day, I stay up late playing console RPGs on the television with fans on or the windows open.

So yeah, a game like Tales of Symphonia makes me think of humid summer nights while Dragon Quest IV reminds me of the frigid winter.

Do all Neo Geo AES games have kind of a funny smell? I only own one and have never had anything to compare it to. It just smells a bit... off. My wife sniffed it once and said, "Some Japanese guy must have kept it in his dank ass basement."

When I play any games, I think of Friday nights.

And the smell of...something...tropical always makes me think of Shenmue. I don't know what the smell is but it's a pretty common air freshener scent. Generally red.
Yeah I do that too. I associate Hotel Dusk with winter, since that's the season I played it during.

Mine is Christmas = Axelay Stage 1 music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArCq3T2NQ70

I sucked at shumps back then, yet Axelay had me hooked when I got it as an Xmas gift. I remember staying up all night playing it over an over again with the only lights in the room being the Xmas tree and the TV.

Remember the noise it makes when all three of your weapons are offline? Combine that with flashing yellow, red and blue xmas lights in the background, and it totally made me think "Shit just got real"
If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?
