The fact that one of your primary weapons causes a glitch that renders the game unplayable?
I assume the PSN version must address this though?

It's in the PSN version. And I can check later if it happens while playing the actual disc on the PS3.

The PSN version functions fine on a PSP though.

I also thought this was only for certain versions of PS3 as well?

Eh... I have interest in this, but the changed VAs, the fact that it's only 2 of the games, and the terrible box art are making me want to skip out. I love Silent Hill 2, but I'm just fine with my PS2 copy. If I want to play either of the games with improved visuals I can just play the PC ports.

Yeah, this is how I feel. Two games hardly make a "collection," and I doubt that the added voice-overs and improved visuals would be worth the extra money.

-Okay so If you guys own 2 & 3 already and dont care for the updates then dont get it.

-If you dont have it and wanna play them get it as it would cost just as much to buy the both PS2 versions or also buy if your a hugh SH fan.

-The new voice acting is incredible imo and dosent stray to far from the originals unless your anally picky, the box art is corney and the manual is pretty much none existant.

-Nice update to the Fog which really is an important element!

-39.99 is a steal of a deal, unless you wanna wait 3 months to save maybe $10.

-Two thumbs up dudes!

To youtube I went.

I watched the first little bit of dialog between Douglas and Heather.
Heather sounds okay! I was pleasantly surprised.
Douglas...ehh... Not too impressed but I'll play the game before I criticize the new voices.

Those were the only characters I heard. I actually welcome new voices for all the other characters in 3. I was never fond of their performances.

It's not the performance/quality factor that is bothering me about the voice acting, it's moreso the nostalgia factor. I'm too used to hearing the original VAs and having them changed would just irritate me too much. I'm like that when it comes to new VAs with anything.

Yea I hear ya,I would rather have the originals.Too lazy to find good copies of them so the newer version was a good price,I also paid close attention to the VA since that was mostly the concerns.

Cant vouch for 3s since Im starting 2 again, and the VA evokes emotion thats why I like it and dont think its too bad.

Researching more into this, I don't know, I think I'll probably skip this on second thought. The performance issues and missing effects in Silent Hill 3 are a real turn-off, not to mention that I don't care much for the new voices at all.

I need to re-buy my ps2 copies of 2 and 3 anyway, so blegh.
