You guys don't have to worry about me with meds. I've been on them all, anti-depressants (never touching that shit again though), Adderall randomly off and on last year that kind of helped with school, and now Xanax. I can drop this stuff right away (safely weening off of course lol) when things get back on track for me. My dose is 1.0mg right now, but I've been taking half pills ever since I made the switch... I think the XR was fine at 1.0mg for me, but the regular stuff hits so much faster and is just too much for me, and half pills seem to be just fine when needed. So it's a very low dose as well.

Xanax is probably the only med that I'd say I actually have had a good experience with. Adderall was fine, but when it wore off, holy hell I'd get the worst headaches ever and then I'd get pretty irritable in the evening. I hated how it destroyed my appetite too, there were times I forced myself to eat and it just made me want to vomit. Anti-depressants... if you need them, that's cool, I did years ago and they helped me get my feet back on the road, but I was on 3-4 different types throughout one year and that shit really changes you around, mentally, physically (weight), moods, sleeping (one made me sleep 12 hours a night, another was like 4 a night), and of course with these you have to wait weeks to see them do anything and weeks for them to wear off. I never want to take that stuff again. Plus I think if I really need some kind of booster Adderall is safer, but the short side effects just suck so oh well. But anyways Xanax just feels like it helps me be me, I can relax and not let the stress bog me down so much. I don't get mood swings, any physical/stomach changes or issues, nothing. I hit a breaking point and have had really bad physical symptoms of anxiety, so that's mostly why I want to take something right now. But yeah it's not in my plans to stick with them for very much longer.

Anyways, not trying to push pills or condemn anyone here at all. They're my last resort and the experience with each and everyone of them is going to be different depending on the user.

Sometimes I hate how openly personal I am on public forums, oh well. lol

No one should be worried about Xanax usage. You build tolerance, but it has no addictive properties to it. Don't wanna say too much for fear of other people, but it's not that bad at all. Not that I recommend people take it recreationally, but ya know, if you need it, you need it!

Just had a MEGA fucked up (understatement of the year) nightmare and crawled out of bed...

The nightmare involved my hysterical mother being drunk beyond belief trying to kill me with my bedsheets, and her making my cat become possessed -scary shit with distorted jawbones and shit- to the point that the cops called a vet to put her (the cat) down. Meanwhile my Japanese teacher was sleeping in my mother's bed, and Miguel (someone I know) spilled spaghetti sauce all over one of my mother's persian rugs, which I knew would make her go hysterical. She was hysterical anyway, the rug didn't make any difference by the way. Dream ended with a sadistic vet grabbing my cat and riding away on a moped yelling the third injection would kill her, muhahahaha... I tried to convince a cute little Nord-African sidekick cop to help me prevent that vet from killing her. She looked like I could convince her, but didn't move. Then I put my hands together next to each other palms up and started praying my final prayer from the Koran while crying like a child before I was going to off myself with a knife all the while thinking I would be with my cat very soon...

And that wasn't even the half of it, believe it...

Fuck me...

By the way, I'm not a muslim, haven't seen my mother in almost 2 years now, and the cats are ok, I think...

I have to get up in 3 hours. I'm going to try again and catch some sleep now. Hopefully...

Something about waking up at 6 and preparing my home for a blizzard by sealing it in a dome. I smashed by shoulder into a beam (don't believe the hype; you can feel pain in your dreams) as I was making my way into the basement. Saw the cast of NBC's Chuck outside finishing welding something. After that, I was reading something in French to prevent the motor that was closing the dome from exploding before I saw a bright light.

Although, in reality, I may have woken up at 6, sleep-walked to my chair and rammed my shoulder into a dresser. The proof was that I woke up with my winter jacked (that was draped over my chair) draped over my covers with a sore shoulder. Also, don't believe the hype; you can read in your dreams; I actively do, though much slower than I do in real life and must phonetically pronounce every word. (Especially since I don't know much French and I think I wound up reading the "to care" label of my jacket.)

I recently had one were I was playing Doom II. I was on this massive custom level, that had 5 extremely powerful bosses in it. The only one I saw was this gigantic Cacodemon that was flying over a little lake. I retreated into a small room, but it turned into some kind of leopard and rushed in after me.

After that, I was in a parking lot in front of some sort of thrift store. My Mom was like "Let's get in the car!" and I responded "Hold on, I'll get the other car." I got into a large garbage truck, and the truck transformed into a huge bipedal robot. Unfortunately, this caused he garbage to fall out everywhere, which turned out to be bags of popcorn. I begrudgingly started picking up the bags with the Robot's arms to clean up the mess.

I dreamt I was in a second-hand store and I was looking for games or consoles. I walked past a display and at the bottom of the shelving, something caught my eye. It was a TurboGrafx 16 with the CD unit. But the CD unit was attached by a cable instead of plugged in the back of the console. (It does plug in, right?)
It was priced at $1.50. I was so excited because I've played a TG16 maybe once in my life. And here it was for cheap. I've wanted one for years to add to my collection.
I picked it up and it looked great on top, but on the bottom it felt dirty - like there was some dirt or grit that I could feel on the case. I turned it over, and the bottom came open and the circuitry was exposed, rusty and broken to bits. Parts of it disintegrated in my hands. So I left it on the shelf.
I continued to walk around the store lamenting my luck until my alarm woke me up today.
I want to go shopping at my regular game haunts for deals today.
