Re: Most Unreliable console from your experience ?
Not counting the early problems a lot of the current-gen consoles had, since a lot of them have been fixed, I'd have to go with the first model NES.
Sure, its an easy fix with a new pin connector, but without doing that fix, most of them seem to not be in great working order.
Other than that, I have had pretty good luck with systems. My fat ps2 died on me a while back, but I used the hell out of it.

I've had mostly good luck with consoles, though I have 2 dead PS1's in my closet right now. One's got a dead laser and the other has a mostly dead laser with a buggy controller port. I also tried to pick up a Dreamcast for dirt cheap at Goodwill, but the laser in it was already dead. My PS2 shows signs of decay but still works well enough.
Other than that, I've had very little trouble from my other consoles.

The only console I've had "fail" on me is the original Xbox, and that was only because the hard drive went bad.
My PS2 has a busted controller port but it's been used the most over the years (much more than the Xbox). But it still works! Just have to use a multitap for the second controller port for multiplayer games

Re: Most Unreliable console from your experience ?
This is kinda a broad subject, because it can depend on how old the console is, or how well it was taken care of, or maybe it was defective from the factory.
This has nothing to do with which console is your favorite, i have had a hell of time with one of my SNES recently and a Game Genie, and a few games even after cleaning them, they just arent standing the test of time or use, but lets be honest here, the SNES is 20 years old now and i would expect it to have some issues reading carts.
I would like to see a Xbox 360 still working 20 years from now lol, it IS the console with the most problems EVER, this isnt open for debate, the 360 is just a fail console, and im not talking game wise, its just a badly designed/engineered console on the inside.
