That could be but at my local gamestop, I picked up the last one of the cosmo black color they had in stock - there was actually a guy arguing with the manager to get my unit that I had pre-ordered.

I think that either people do not think of Kmart as the place to pick up their gaming hardware (and who the fuck would, right?) or Nintendo figured out their supply issues to avoid what happened during the Nintendo DS and Wii launch.

Thats always satisfying picking up a pre-order that another angry person wants right in front of them

Nah, I actually felt kinda bad for the guy. I don't know if he was all together in the head, if you know what I mean. He REALLY wanted a black 3DS and seemed like he was close to tears when the manager told him he couldn't have it because I had already paid for it. And then when everyone told him to walk across the street to Walmart and check there, he got really distant. It was kinda weird.

At the Best Buy yesterday, the store had the Saturday afternoon shopping crowd. I didn't see anyone trying to use the 3DS demo area so we were able to go right up and try it out. It just seems that the excitement wasn't really there. It will probably be a different story when it's the holiday shopping season.

I think that was the point of the slider. So that the user can adjust the slider to get the best picture for them.

Just got mine last night. I picked up SFIV, Pilotwings, Ridge Racer, and Steel Diver. I would be playing it right now but the damn thing is on the charger again! SFIV online was fun...when you're playing against somebody who knows the basic principles of Street Fighter. I hate the fact that you have instant special moves. Because of this, online games are full of fireball and shoryuken spammers. That's ALL THEY DO. It's an easy way to earn points, but it's also BORING!

You can actually filter that out in the game's online options. Makes for a much much more pleasant experience.

Also, ragequitters now get a loss if they disconnect based on who left the server's connection first. Yeah this can suck if you have a sudden wi-fi drop out, but it's better as there's no way out of getting a loss for people who really deserve it.

I was at my local Kmart a little while ago for something else and stopped by the games department. They had plenty of units, about 10 in the display cabinet and more in the back room. The clerk thought they would have sold out by now but the demand doesn't seem to be there.

I also bought my Wii on launch day at K-mart, no line and plenty in stock. People just don't think K-mart when they think video games.

I looked at my local Walmart at about 4:30pm and they had one black and three blues.

dammit! i was at best buy yesterday and i didn't even look to try out their demo unit!

i don't plan on buying one, but i REALLY want to try it out.
