I want to be a part of this someway, but eff if I don't have the time to spend an entire day out. Unfortunately I just don't have the time, but I am willing to drive 4 hours to at least shake your hands and buy you drinks. I'm thinking we could meet for lunch, and instead of paying close to $100 on tickets, I'll cover the drinks for lunch. But let's not go crazy guys.

If we can meet for soft drinks, brews, and chews, I'd love to do so. You guys recommend a place for a Saturday lunch and I'll get back to you.

Ah man, I won't be able to be there for Saturday.

Oh well, another time.

I'd be up for lunch, I don't exactly know of any places in Raleigh, though.

Don't sweat it, we'll get everything settled on Friday and meet up somewhere to catch a bite. The hog-dog cart outside is really great and actually has some good Italian sausage or Kielbasa along with ice-cream and tons of other goodies depending on the time of day or night.

Last year I was walking around munching on some Chorizo with Sauerkraut and Jalapenos at 4AM on Saturday courtesy of the awesome hot-dog cart guy.

Keep in mind this means some good costumes, some bad costumes, craploads of people dressed as whatever series is popular right now to the point where you roll your eyes (previously as DBZ, Naruto, or Sailor Moon), and unfortunately many young girls and overweight people that maybe shouldn't be wearing that outfit. Not to be downing the costume thing or people that are comfortable with their bodies, just what to expect in that department.

<---Used to work dealer's room at Anime cons too

Listen to this man, he knows his stuff.

Also, Animazement has to have the nicest people I've ever met at a con since I first started going to them back in 2009. People are friendly and nice, know their boundaries, respect individual likes and dislikes, everyone seems to shower and smell good, the con center is large and spacious with lots of room to stretch your legs, etc... etc...

The Artist's Alley is also LOADED to the brim with either amazingly nice sleeper stuff, oddities and quirky drawings or awful garbage that's purported as the best thing ever. There's always a great piece in the art auction though, such as a really cool and nicely detailed Metroid piece I saw last year of the opening fight from Metroid Prime 3 with Samus fighting Ripley.

Big ups to Majors.

I'll post a suggestion for a lunch meat, er, lunch meet up (I'm hungry, so sue me) including time, place once I do a little research.

I suggest pickle loaf.......everyone loves pickle loaf. :P

Seriously though, does the game room sound like a good meeting area for everyone to then proceed off from?

hehe...I found some RB biz cards from last year while packing. Only a handful, but wasn't someone looking for some?

Picking up the truck in a few hours, loading up the cabs tonight. Tomorrow at 10am, off you the RCC!

As I told Majors, let's keep spitballing ideas and one will eventually stick.

I'm a virgin when it comes to cons, so I'm not sure of all the rules and regs. If I can get a ballpark figure of how many people will be in the game room, perhaps I can provide a dozen pizzas or so. And perhaps I can get free entry by pretending to be a pizza delivery guy, and my wife could act as my assistant (it's an awful idea, but ya gotta try).

But let me break it down to brass tacks:

1) I want to attend this conference.
2) I can't spend a lot of time at the conference.
3) Would like to provide lunch or drinks if possible.
4) I am willing to be photographed, but it'll cost ya ;)

So what is the next step guys? Saturday will be here before we know it, so I'd like to make plans asap.

Thanks guys!
