I saw and heard people in the video complaining about how rediculous the situation was. I'm thinking, YOU'RE THERE DIPSHIT! You are the @%$% situation!

I don't see how they can't understand that that shit is going to happen when you just open the doors to a flood of people foaming at the mouth for something.

I did my Black Friday at Wal-Mart (They are the only place that will price match on BF, so it's kinda a no-brainer), and they at least had the decency to make a ticket for every item to give out to those in line. There was no point in waiting around if there weren't anymore tickets, and there was no reason to get to an item ASAP because you already had it guaranteed if you had a ticket. No panic, no mess, no problem.

Granted, people were still assholes, but that just can't be avoided.

Rise, old, oddly-appropriate topic from years ago!

I would have to vote for any Black Friday in the early to mid-nineties, if only to score some sealed NES and SNES, games, or possibly 1997/98 for Saturn games...

The only Black Friday I ever participated in was to grab an Xbox 360 from Gamestop for either $150 or $160, I can't remember exactly how much it was. That was in 2011 I think.

I got there about half an hour before the store opened, was the 20th or so person in line, and the whole thing wen't smoothly. Nobody got trampled, there were no arguments, no line cuts, and everyone went up and purchased their products in an orderly and timely fashion.

Pretty boring I guess compared to all the horror stories.

Couldn't they have at least opened more doors? Before questions of government philosophy and moral responsibility...why not open two or three more doors if you're going to do it!

If I go to a black friday event, I always wait until the line disappears.

I went this year, but ended up not buying anything besides a doughnut. The things I wanted were either sold out or not discounted. I wasn't on any particular mission - I just had nothing to do and felt like observing people. I walked around for about an hour talking to people, watching them try to cut in line, watching the miserable cashiers. I hope they got paid time and a half and holiday.

There were cops walking around the store, and they seemed to be a good deterrent. Nothing happened besides a few verbal arguments. I did see an old woman take items from other people's carts. The electronics cashier saw and refused to ring up her items, so her only option with the cops around was to leave in an amazing self-entitled huff.

I saw a ~50 year old cop buy a PS Vita though, at full price. I asked him what games he wanted, and he said Atelier Meruru

I'v never done black friday, I think it just makes us look like retards in the eyes of the entire fucking world. Getting hurt/killed for 50 bucks off of a 300 dollar tv? Not worth it.

That being said, I wish I could go back to the early 90's, I was just a kid but that's when the NES was sort of dying down and the SNES popped up in all it's 16 bit glory, so I could get some good deals on todays "rare" games. I mean if I had the ability to go back in time I could easily go back even more into the 80's and pick up some sweet sweet Atari and arcade stuff. But then that opens up a whole new possibility that I could go back to when like Microsoft first started and buy stock in it...getting more money for games...

I'v often thought how nice time travel would be, if only it was real...
