At any rate, I haven't heard from Fast in a few days so I have no idea what his thoughts are on any of this.
Shining force seems like a good choice. Im not sure if Yggdra union ever made it out over here though. Wikipedia says it did on GBA, but ebay is only showing US and Japanese copies.

Didn't read all of the posts, but:
March: Platformer - RAYMAN

The original Rayman is a nice and overlooked platformer. Its on the PS1, Saturn, and GBA.

that's a good suggestion. I feel like Rayman is really well-known, but not exactly talked about or played all that much.

Rayman seems like a pretty cool option actually. I hear it gets pretty damn hard.

How's this workign anyhow. Is fast deciding on the games, or will we be able to suggest some once the genres are decided?

That's partly because of his fubared access to the site and partly because he's currently out of town. I called him Friday to tell him he needs to get back on and read over this list, and he told me he was out of town for a convention. He's been in Tennessee for a couple of days, but he should be getting back at some point today. He'll try to fix his internet issue at some point this week.

yeah I had been going back with him via email, but he stopped responding. Didn't realize he was out of town this weekend. Thanks for the heads up Ack.

I apologize for my disappearance – the site doesn’t like me right now and there were some far more important things I had to take care of. However, it looks like the site is actually loading for me today so I should be on more.

Let me address the points real quick:
-As stated earlier, baseball was brought up in the past as an alternative to horror, but since it seems to be causing such a ruckus we will move it from October and do a Horror title that month. Honestly, I never expected that so many people would get upset about this.
-By sim we meant something like Simcity, sorry for the confusion. To be honest, it will probably end up being Simcity or Theme Park.
-As for RTS/TBS – I was honestly thinking about Liberty or Death when that was first brought up. It is a title I have not given any play time to but have been meaning to.

The current list we are working with is as follows:
Jan - RPG
Feb - Fighter
Mar - FPS
Apr - Adventure
May - Puzzle
Jun - Shmup
Jul - Platformer
Aug - Sim
Sep - Baseball
Oct - Horror
Nov - Strategy (TBS or RTS?)
Dec - Party

However if Baseball really offends our friends across the pond we can change it to another sports title/genre.
