Wow that was tense. Everything just came to a head so quickly at the end there. So many questions. Season 2 ended with a bang but this is more of a cliffhanger than that was. Gus needs walt because he can't halt production. . . but is he really willing to save money by employing a traitor? Did they really care that much about getting jesse that they'd let walt live (even if for just a bit longer). It's gonna be a long damn wait til next season, I know that. They are going to have to pull out all the stops to bring this story to a logical conclusion as well.

I know! I can't take it! It's only been an hour and it's killing me already!

Yeah, but I don't underestimate them at all. This is the best written anything that I've ever seen.

Yeah only an hour and I'm dying to see how this wraps up. Dunno if you caught Rubicon. . . ugh. The promos made it look interesting but that was the most slow moving and boring pilot I've ever seen. I still don't even get what it was this "company" does. I was getting flashbacks to AMCs "The Prisoner" mini-series during the whole episode, which started off strong but became a convoluted mess by part 2. I may give it one more chance when it starts up but if I'm not totally into it by episode 2 I'm done.

But anyway, I was thinking about all the other shows I watch, and that I need to catch up on and I think I'll be able to last the 9 months. My plans for summer involve new episodes of Burn Notice, picking up the DVDs of Season 1 and 2 of Sons of Anarchy. I watched Season 2 on tv but didn't see season 1. I saw Curb your enthusiasm Season 7 is out on dvd now (the seinfeld reunion season) but I haven't even seen Season 6, so I'll be picking up both of those. Then in fall Fringe comes back, The Office comes back, Sons of Anarchy Season 3 starts, then. . . Breaking Bad Season 4!

Rubicon pissed me off for two reasons. For starters, when I set my DVR yesterday morning I noticed that the Breaking Bad time slot was from 10 until 11:45, so I thought we were getting a special hour and a half long season finale. When the screen turned black and read "Created by Vince Gilligan" I instantly hated Rubicon. I thought there was a decent amount of episode left still, and then I realized I'd have to wait several more months for more. That and the fact that I had it on for a while when I was on the computer and it seemed boring as all hell.

Yeah, I got Burn Notice for now to hold me over. But I was talking with a co-worker about this. Breaking Bad has ruined other shows for me. I still like Burn Notice a lot, but after watching Breaking Bad, it's just not as good any more. It just seems cheesy and amateurish now.

I agree somewhat with breaking bad making other shows seem worse, but as far as Burn Notice goes, I think it is just becoming too predictable and repetitive. First 5 minutes, Michael talks with an evil guy who is employing him to do a job, next 5 minutes, Fiona and Sam say Michael shouldn't work for evil guy, Michael says he has to. Next 30 minutes involve helping a whiny client who screws up their plans multiple times, last 5 minutes involve evil guy michael is working for.

But Burn Notice has never been the most serious show, so as long as there's hot chicks, cool cars, and Bruce Campbell drinking beer I'll keep watching.

Burn notice is fun, but nothing even remotely like or comparable to Breaking Bad. Just too different of styles.

The only other show I have seen that's in the same ball park of artistic drama is The Shield. Sopranos is up there too... but really not quite the same level of depth, as Breaking Bad or The Shield, IMO. Im sure some will disagree. I guess Sopranos did it first - (the whole "getting you to relate to and side with the bad guy until the very end when they slap you with the undeniable truth, and make you feel guilty for siding with such an evil spirit, addicting crime drama). I, for one can't get enough of that plot template. Breaking Bad has taken it to a whole new level of depth.

Have you checked out Sons of Anarchy? Another show that follows the "badguys". Justified is pretty good too.

Loved the finale. And the final second seriously made me flinch (so I had the volume up...)
Really curious what Walt and Jesse's long-term plan is :)

^ Yeah, I flinched too. The last two episodes had me at the edge of my seat (metaphorically, I was actually lying down when I watched them).

***!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!***

When I was first watching the scene where Walt starts begging for his life I was thinking to myself, "Oh no, Walt's acting like a bitch." But then it dawned on me, it was an act and part of his plan. He had to call Jessie, that was his only hope. The only way they'd let him call Jessie is if he was giving him up to them. But why would he give up Jessie that easily? It wouldn't be believable after all the events leading up to this point. So Walt had to beg like a bitch to really sell the story that he was selling Jessie out. Any one agree?

Also, we don't exactly know for sure that Jessie shot/killed Gabe. I'm assuming that he did. But when I first saw the scene, it looked like the gun was pointing straight at Gabe's head. Then when the camera was on Jessie, he moves the gun a few degrees to the right before the shot goes off.

God, I can't believe I have to wait for the next season. This is bullshit! I want to know what happens now! Did Jessie really kill Gabe? How the hell are Walt and Jessie gonna get out of this mess?

I've seen people mention the gun movement a bunch, but it was just the camera panning to get a straight on view of the gun.
