Last summer, I bought Biomotor Unitron off of eBay. The seller showed a picture of it complete, like-new, minty condition. I asked the seller to send it in a box to protect it and she asked me to pay extra for her to do so, and I did. Then the moron ships it in a bubble mailer and it arrived torn and smashed. Why should I pay money to send it back when she was the moron who mailed it in a bubble mailer? I freaking hate sellers on eBay who just cram games into bubble mailers and they think that the game will arrive in perfect shape. She advertised the game as in mint condition even! Having it abused and crammed between other postal envelopes and packages ensures that it won't arrive in mint condition at all. So stupid.
I still haven't gotten around to buying Biomotor Unitron again yet.

I only do this with games in DVD cases. If I sell a game in a box, I'd box it.greg wrote:I freaking hate sellers on eBay who just cram games into bubble mailers and they think that the game will arrive in perfect shape.

I was lucky enough to find Biomotor Unitron complete, with the hard clamshell European box for about $15. Sorry to hear about your bad EBay experience; I hate it when sellers jerk you around like that.greg wrote:Last summer, I bought Biomotor Unitron off of eBay. I lived in Japan from 2000-2002. Kobe is a city west of Osaka, the one that was hit hard by the earthquake back in 1995. For a stretch of several blocks directly under the train tracks between Kobe Station and Motomachi Station (I'm pretty sure it doesn't go all the way to Sannomiya), there is a cramped shopping district called Motoko. Anyway, it's all one gimungous stretch of thrift shops selling ANYTHING: musical instruments, junk electronics, drug stores, secondhand clothing, furniture, used appliances, women's vibrators, music CDs and vinyl, and of course VIDEO GAMES. There's one retro game shop that has a great selection of PC Engine, Famicom, Saturn, and all sorts of good stuff. But it was at another shop where I bought my piss green NGPC for only 1,000 yen used. I picked up Pac Man cart only to go with it. The GBA had recently come out, but I was content with getting just a NGPC.
I lived in Himeji, which is further west from Kobe. There was a fairly neat game store close to the train station there and that's where I bought Cotton for only like 3,000 yen. Unfortunately, it was the cardboard box and not the hard clamshell. But still, I got it for a decent price. As a port, it's not all that great, but it is the only shmup for the NGPC, so I guess that's why people want it. It's a port of the arcade version, like the PS1 Simple 1000 series version (the PCE version seems rather different than the arcade version). It wasn't until I moved back to America that I learned how pricey that game is.
Later I gave the green NGPC to my friend so he can play his Rockman game (he collects anything Rockman/Megaman) when I replaced it with a boxed crystal blue NGPC. The most time I've put into a game on the console was Metal Slug 2nd Mission, and Sonic being a close second. It's funny how I completely suck at playing Sonic on the Genesis, yet I was able to beat the NGPC version. And the Shanghai game is great for long airplane rides.
The SNK Gals Fighters game is surprisingly fast-paced and great fun to play. I made some Perler Bead pixel artwork of Athena, Yuri, and Mai from the game. You can check out pics of those here: http://stevethefish.net/life/life044.htm

Re: I Love My Neo-Geo Pocket Color!
I just picked up a NGPC color two days ago with 5 games. I would like to join the "I Love My Neo-Geo Pocket Color!" club.
Anyways, it was such an awesome find for me since I went for the first time to one of the few stores that somewhat stocks retro games in the DC area. I saw this beauty sitting in the glass cabinet and I knew I had to have it.
I picked up a silver NGPC with the following five games:
King of Fighters R-2
SNK Vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium
Samurai Shodown 2
Sonic Pocket Adventure
Metal Slug 1st Mission
Yesterday, I went onto ebay and picked up a US release of Faselei! and I can't wait to get it.
Does anyone have any alternative solutions to a worm light since they are impossible to find. I was thinking about one of those portable LED book lights that have enough space in the clasp to attach to onto the back.

Re: I Love My Neo-Geo Pocket Color!
Try getting urs front lid modded. I've got one and it makes a world of difference. The GBA has a front lit screen and its what people use to mod it.
I've actually got a brand new worm light I don't use. Its complete in box. Ill probably Get rid of it.

The wireless adapters only work on compatible games.
Nice accessory at the time though.
