yea i think it's kind of funny. he didn't stick up an old lady, he just found a dummy and got a sweet deal. let's not lynch the guy over it.
store clerk should go... "no, no, no... that may be so, but the marked price is THE price" but that didn't happen.
i don't think it's right bragging about being deceitful and telling lies to an unknowing worker at a goodwill - which by the way hires MRDD people. i hate how people just assume they NEED to get a good deal at goodwill. god forbid if they should see a game marked at current market value at a goodwill. curse those bastards for looking up prices online.
the golden rule that i learned way back in grade school has always stuck with me: treat others as you would want to be treated.
You know, I agree with you... but in the hundreds of times i've been to Goodwill not once have I had the impression that the employees give a damn about the price of merchandise there, whether its overpriced or under. And another thing is the deluge of goods coming in to be stocked, I imagine the motivation of an employee there being bargained down is just to get the stuff out the door.
I have silently raged at a few people who make a return while i'm waiting in the checkout... who in the hell returns stuff at Goodwill?
Picked up the Collectors Edition Final Fantasy XII CIB at ye old Gamestop for 9.99. That particular store has thrown out most of their PS2 cases, but I guess even they couldn't bear to toss out that one in all it's shiny metal glory.

Great Find! I got the same one back in May. Did you get both discs?

Nice find! Much better than 13, IMHO.. I hope you actually get a chance to put some serious playtime into it - I loved the gambit system of combat!

On the other hand, if a professional seller doesn't know what he's selling, fuck him. Nowadays, information is just a click away. I say the guy did well, even if his methods are a bit unorthodox...
I have seen a lot of people saying the same thing about how it is the seller's fault if he doesn't know what he has. Then when the seller does know what he has and is asking reasonable prices for it, these same people whine and complain about thrift stores, yard sales, and flea markets asking high prices.

Yup, but that's just the way the cookie crumbles...
I've done flea markets in the past myself and had people calling me crazy when I asked €40 for an unboxed SNES game. I mean, what did they expect, that I'd sell an Earthbound cartridge for peanuts?...
When I see someone with nice merchandise and I see they know what they are selling and price it accordingly I always go: "Damn, why do you have to know what you are selling, lol."

I don't see why that's hard to grasp, if a seller has something listed for cheap, why would I inform him otherwise and not take advantage of the deal? Like the other day my friend went to K-Mart to pick up Alice as they had it listed for $35, he went and it rang up at $29.99, was he supposed to tell them that their ad says $35?
