Re: What's the rarest game you own?
What is No. 3, exactly?
Re: What's the rarest game you own?
Mizubaku Daiboken, AKA "Liquid Kids".
Available much cheaper on Taito Legends 2 (I think, one of those TL games)
It'd be in the Super Tempo / Tryrush Deppy category of games. Picture maybe Bubble Bobble, but not vertical stages per se, more of a platformer.
Available on PCE for about 1/2 the cost of the SAT version.

Liquid Kids is a fun game, I like it. You have an arcade ver?

I think I did see it on TL2 in passing; might have to check it out.

I do not. It's on the list and pops up occasionally, in the ballpark price-wise of the SAT-J version. One on ebay earlier in the month but it was "not working"...

No idea at all on runs - i've been into SAT-J pretty heavy for 3 years and my thoughts would be (based upon pure number of times i've seen them at available ebay auction / jp gamestores / forums / yahoo jp)
Hardest to find, imo:
1. Psychic Killer Taromaru
2. Super Tempo
3. Mizubaku Daiboken
4. Tryrush Deppy
5. HyperDuel
6. Crows
7. Cleopatra Fortune
8. Image Fight X Multiply
9. Final Fight Revenge
10. Astra Superstars
Breetai may have a better idea on actual production runs...
I wish I did. I found a copy of Super Tempo once in an out of the way retro game store north of Tokyo once. It... I'll just say it wasn't expensive. I asked if they had any more, and the lady pulled out FOUR copies from behind the counter. One was still sealed. One didn't have a spine card, but I *think* the other three did. I kept one for myself (the no spine card one, because I don't really need them) and I think the other four all sold on here. The sealed one I traded straight up for Radiant Silvergun. The other three were around whatever we figured market value to be ($150 or so maybe, I forget).
After finding those copies, Tatsujin (a member of PCEngineFX and Assember) met up in Akihabara and looked for it (along with other stuff, of course!). Not a single copy of Super Tempo anywhere to be found. It's not like we didn't know where to look, either. I'd already been in Japan for 4 years then and he is a lifer there. Seriously, that game just does NOT turn up often. I was just stupidly lucky.

Maybe Faselei boxed UK for the NGPC, Galaxy Fight for the AES, or Aldynes for the SuperGrafx

I would guess Faselei would be the rarest, but that's just my guess. Not sure about Galaxy Fight on the AES, but I know I've seen it for the NGCD a fair bit. I don't think of Aldynes as rare... but I guess that is just relative to the SGX.

Re: What's the rarest game you own?
Decided to take a pic of my two rare games just because this thread needs more pics of these beautiful gems. My Bubble Bobble Part 2 CIB and my loose Little Samson. I think I might do more pics of my Bubble Bobble Part 2 CIB just because it is in amazing condition. I saw one recently on NA for sale that they said was in good condition that does not look as good as mine. Besides that the prices for these games have been shooting up a lot recently. Little Samson has been going up faster then CRTGAMERS GBA collection.

Rarest game I own?
Not really all that sure. I have some uncommon ones for sure, but how many? Well....let me see if I can break it down by system:
NES - Not really any....except for maybe my gray Zelda II: The Adventure of Link which I had no idea is less common than a gold Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. I still want to buy a gold Zelda II: The Adventure of Link so I can unite it with my gold The Legend of Zelda....but then if that were the case, then I'd have to get a gray The Legend of Zelda just to complete the set. Damn you colored cartridges!!!!
Game Boy - uh......TMNT III: Radical Rescue is the only one I can think of out of my small GB collection that could be borderline rare, at least for an original Game Boy title.
SNES - ok I got some uncommon ones. Soldiers of Fortune and Super Nova spring to mind. There's only 2 copies of Super Nova on Amazon as I type this. Compare that to Earthbound, which has 13 used copies available on Amazon (plus 3 new copies and 1 collectible). Oh yeah and Mega Man X2 WITH MANUAL!!!
N64 - No rare titles. A couple of expensive ones, but not really rare, so....NEXT!
Gamecube - ok so....not really any...oh wait....:looks at shelf:...The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition. Nevermind, found one. Funny thing is, I never actually went out to buy it (well, not by itself). See, you could only get it initially when you bought the special Gamecube platinum edition system set, which included the Zelda Collector's Edition game and my mom ended up getting one for my brothers after their initial Gamecube bit the dust. However, my brothers were not Legend of Zelda fans and didn't want the game so my mom asked me if I wanted it. Not thinking much of it at the time I was like "sure" so I took it. Years later my mom apparently found Super Smash Bros Melee, sealed, somewhere in either her bedroom or the closet in our living room. Anyway she gave it to me (apparently that Gamecube platinum edition set also came with SSBM but my mom forgot about it). I ended up selling the game for 20 bucks and used it to....buy video games for my brother Phil for Christmas. Talk about a vicious cycle....On an unrelated note, I also used to have Eternal Darkness, a somewhat uncommon GCN game....but I lost it.
Game Boy Advance - Not really. Hell the rarest GBA item I have are the E-Reader cards from Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros 3.
Game Boy Color - I only have Pocket Bomberman, and we all know how much money that one fetches...
Sega Saturn - My only game for it is Virtua Fighter 2. I know, a real disappointment for all you Saturn devotees, eh?
So that is all in terms of what rare stuff I have.
